I'm pretty sure there are places that can fix a crack that small. Not sure though with the depth. Don't know of anyone outside the DC metro area though.

Good luck,

Joe

Call your insurance company. If you have comprehensive coverage you should be covered. They'll set you up with a windshield replacement place and they'll be able to look at it and determine whether it needs to be replaced or not. I had the same type of thing happen to me and I just took it in and they patched up my windshield. The cost for patching the windshield is $0, the cost for the entire replacement out of your pocket is the cost of your deductible, (usually $250 or so). Do it quickly because the longer you wait, the greater the chance of the crack spiderwebbing and forcing you to replace the windshield.

Comprehensive claims do not effect your insurance premiums either.

I was lucky that I had 0 ded on comp in my insurance. It cosy >$700 from the dealers to fix which they replace with OEM glass and molding. I would never pay that much if my insurance did not cover it. If hte crack is small enough, the fix should be easy and cost effecitve.

If you use the ded, make sure you take it to the dealership so its done right. Since you will need to pay the ded. you might as well get the honda orginal parts and a certified labor person to install it and it will be backed up by the dealership.. Since you are the customer, you can demand this from the insurance carrier.
