Hey all,
So, I have a 21 Aspec in Apex Blue. I live in Wisconsin, so our winters can be snowy and kind of crappy. Anyway, I知 debating if I should get my RDX in for a paint correction/wax now, or wait until spring? If I wait, I値l just throw a coat of wax on it for now.
What do you all do?

i dont drive much (retired) but here we get heavy salt and snow (nj)

I'd wait and but go with a coat of a ceramic sealant for now. Anything from the hybrid ceramics from Turtle Wax, Mothers or Meguiars or if you feel a bit more spendy something like CarPro Reload or Kamikaze Overcoat (what I use).
The exception would be if you have a place to wash the car indoors and can wash it with a rinse less wash like Optimum No Rinse (and a big red sponge). You'll be able to minimise the paint damage using a product like that (if your car isn't super dirty) so the paint correction doesn't go to waste.

I use either Turtle Wax ICE Synthetic Spray Wax (20 oz) or Turtle wax Ice Seal and shine hybrid spray. Both can be found in Walmart or Amazon. Add a couple quick coats after every wash.
I also use the Rain-x glass cleaner and treatment. A lot easier to use than the original, and provides the same protection (water beads up and ice/snow comes off easier.
Tires - a good foam cleaner and protectant.
I am a OCD detail person, did a ton of paint correction with a buffer in the past and used a high quality sealer. Just that process is an all day event. The above are my to go products to clean most of the year. My Acura is a driver, not a perfect show car.
Just did an 1100. Ike trip, 1/2 day of rain and my Acura was pretty clean at the end - surprised me when I washed it. Kudos to using the hybrid spray products on weekly.

The off the shelf stuff from Mothers, Meguiar's and Turtle Wax are all plenty adequate from a protection standpoint - the ceramic sealants work well and are super easy to apply and maintain. If you want to be a flashier and like more shine then brands like CarPro (my personal favourite) or stuff like Adam's or Ammo work well. I love CarPro PERL for its versatility - as its name implies it does plastic, rubber, engine, and leather. It's gotten rid of 3 different protectants for me and lasts a really long time.
