speed limit 80 mph?

My car was showing speed limit 80 mph. Was at a traffic light so took a pic. Enjoy.

I think the Nav system gets the speed limits out of a hat.
In my town, residential streets are 25. Through roads are 35 or 45.
None of that matters to here. It reads 25 or nothing. I can be looking at a posted sign marked 35, 40, or 45 and it displays 25 as the limit.
it only displays 45 on US 22 and 70 on SR 66 correctly.

I believe the 2021 and earlier get the speed limit info from the nav map. Perhaps they're incorrect or missing? Perhaps they're more accurate on the US and state highways. Supposedly the 2022s can read the speed limit signs but I'm not sure I believe that.

I'm sure that would hold up in court. The old "my car said so" defense.

On a surface street with traffic lights!

On a serious note, I don't think any of the nanny systems malfunctioning would stand up in court since we sign waivers for that. Even during the DMV test, we are told that we can have them enabled but we have to drive as if the car is without them.

My '21 TLX A-Spec had reported 100 MPH a couple of times. You can select whether that info comes from the nav system or the camera (that's where the strange speed limits come from).

This was found on pg 315 of my TLX Owner's Manual so you can probably find the same in your RDX one.

Well what can I say? My car managed to out do itself today. Stopped at a traffic light and it’s showing 85 mph as the speed limit.

Do you guys see this kind of stuff?

Not sure about other model years but my 2022 can use either the camera or the nav system as the speed limit source. I have mine set to use the nav and have not experienced the crazy speed limit signs.

Mine are usually correct but I didn't even know we had 85 MPH speed limits in the US!! Unless your RDX is trying to get you pulled over.

Also, put some air in those tires!

We have very high temperature variations here. On a warmish day in the afternoon during this season the pressures will be around 32.

Yes, but the "cold" tire pressure (first thing in the AM after non-use) is supposed to be set at 32. Acura recommends that the air pressure in the tires should be set between 32 and 35 PSI. You are just killing your MPG driving on underinflated tires.
