I'm not suggesting they are -- simply reporting what I saw. Acura might not even use them on production models. I certainly wouldn't. But they're certainly not going to have A/S 3's from the factory.

RSA's have terrible ratings...and for some time. They just don't "cut it." And yes, AS3+ are the latest and greatest from Mich. and rated #1 by consumers. I love them. Will stick with them until they "do me wrong." LOL!!

Well, they might be on the RDX's. But, normally whatever they do put on them...they will most likely not meet my standards. Virtually all OEM tires don't. I will put Mich. AS 3+ on whatever I buy. Acura has been using Primacy MXM4's
for some time...hey, they are at least better than the RSA's! Even though the Primacy's are NOT as good as the new and better technology A/S3's.

255's are meaty for sure. But, they will probably be 245 I'm guessing...and they will be 19's. That's pretty much established at this point. The 20's are reserved for the A-Spec. OFTEN at car shows they put on larger wheels/tires for
"show affect" and that's what people saw at the NY show.

I know this...I will have the answer tomorrow...on what tire and size is on the Advance. The "Zone car"....Advance model will be at my dealership for 4 hrs. I will get my friend(s) there give me the info. I've looked everywhere for...tried to find
close up pics....LOL....just have not been able to find out that info. Hopefully tomorrow!
What I did see in all my searching....Goodyear ASA's were on all the cars. A-Specs too. I think we all saw that early on.

Hey, maybe Acura got a great "lobbying sales pitch" from Goodyear...and Acura is going to buy or bought....a huge warehouse stacked to the ceiling with them. Goodyear knows they have a terrible rating...must get rid of them!! LOL!!!

The NY show models were in production trim, and the Advance was sporting 255's on 20's just like the A-Spec.

I guess I'll have the definitive answer tomorrow when it shows up at my dealer. I have an internal doc from Acura...and it states that the A-Spec adds 20" wheels....and nothing says that about the Advance.
Personally, it only makes sense for them to do 20's on a "sporty version...the A-Spec" and not the Advance. 19's for the Advance...I'll take that to Vegas.....damn, hope I win!!! LOL!!
I'll post tomorrow after I find out tomorrow what the Advance has on it when it sits at my dealer.

It's crazy...IF Acura jumped from 18's on the 2018 RDX Advance to 20's on the 2019 Advance!! Just crazy.....IF they did that. I just don't think so. I'll be pissed if that's true.

At minimum it would appear 20's will be optional. I'm wagering on standard on the Advance and A-Spec.

19's are standard and 20's optional. Aspec has 20's. I would think the Advance would stick with 19's to keep the package price more reasonable.

Wouldn't make a difference in the pricing, my best guess. I priced the top Mich. A/S 3+ in 20" and 19" already at Tire Rack. The 19's were.....$1 more each!! LOL!!

I know the A-Spec will have 20's as std. That's been known for some time. The Advance....not so "known" what's going on. I firmly believe the 19's will be std. but, not so sure 20's are optional. We'll see.

I'm sure you're right. I've been saying Advance package, but I meant Technology. The Advance will have 19's, but I won't be surprised if both the A-Spec and Tech come standard with 20's.

Every Acura model includes the largest wheel size as a dealer installed option so I expect 20's to be an option on the Advance if it comes standard with 19's. Maybe they will offer the prototype rims as an option. Those look a lot better than the Advance rims. Although I wouldn't hold my breath for the rim size they used on the prototype. Those were 275 45 21's.

No way the Tech gets bigger wheels that the Advance. TLX V-6 Tech gets bigger wheels and that carries over to the Advance. The Advance is a step up from the Tech.

No, don't think so. Rod, the Advance is the TOP model. Not the Tech. It goes like this. Base; Tech; A-Spec; Advance. The Tech will not have 20" std...and I doubt seriously optional. The Advance...won't have 20's std...my best
guess....and MAYBE optional...but, doubt it. I believe that the A-Spec is "reserving" the 20's for it's "sporty image." But, I could be wrong on the Opt. part for the Advance.

I have the internal Acura doc. that gives the key items each has...and adds to the previous model. Then the A-Spec has "very specific" items it has that are not on the Advance as Std. And the Advance has ALL items std...and some
are not available on any other model. 16 way seats for example. ONLY on the Advance. Rear camera washer....yes...LOL....ONLY on the Advance. There are a few more items.

Soon we will know all the exacts. Isn't this fun speculating and everyone getting all excited with anticipation...and many guessing at what's going to be. I try to work off of documents I happen to have...I'm lucky there....and my
common sense...that is right a lot....but, certainly not always.

Let the games begin!! I do know this.....This Sat. I will be seeing it and will get ALL the exact info I've been wanting to know. And, that I will have a white/red A-Spec on hold for me...as well as a white/parchment Advance on hold....I just have to decide which one I/we want. Wife is leaning to the Advance. But she loves that red interior exclusive to the A-Spec....as our TLX has.

Then I was saying it right after all. The Advance shown in New York was wearing 20's with the same size tires as the A-Spec. At minimum they'll be an option.

For me...even if the model at the "show' was a "production model".....I don't trust the show cars, esp. when it comes to wheels and tires. So, I'll wait and see what are the facts.
Again, I do not see the Advance getting 20's std. Just not going to happen. IMHO. Optional...from factory...skeptical.

Again, we'll see. Tomorrow I should know the answers.

They make it all so confusing.. why not ‘the base’ then ‘one up with the good stuff’ then ‘2 up with the sporty clothes’ and then ‘the top of the line’?

Keep it simple so that people can figure it out, and then no badge until you get to the top? The cognoscenti will recognize the sporty one, but everyone else won’t know feces from shoe polish.

I just want an Advance A-Spec. Call it A-Spec Premium, Plus, Supreme, whatever. While I like the features on the Advance, the A-Spec looks way better. Honestly if it weren't for the A-Spec styling I wouldn't even be considering the RDX as a contender in my search.

The trims always get picked apart - but I think this seems about right (I deleted the pic for neatness and it's literally two posts above). I'm not sure why the A-spec doesn't get the Adaptive Dampers is about the only thing...I guess they truly are saying that the A-spec is only about appearance and sticking with that? Otherwise I think you have a lot of reason to want to move up while also getting good value in the standard and tech trims...and I actually think the Advance is worthwhile now with the dampers, HUD, surround view, heated steering wheel and the kick ass ELS.

There are probably more "standard" features as well - they don't list any USB ports for instance.

I will also say that if this is sort of what we can expect from future base/tech/advance models Acura is on the right path with their trims...IMO.

Yeah, I don't know anything about Adaptive Dampers other than what I've read here, and even then, I hope no one ever asks me to explain or describe it. LOL

As far as the A-Spec, I think appearance is definitely one thing that sets it apart from the other trims. To directly quote from Acura.com, "The new RDX A-Spec is...the first-ever Acura SUV with distinctive sport appearance upgrades, including gloss black accents and Shark Gray 20-inch alloy wheels." I've also seen the sporty red seats several here like a lot. I suppose it will appeal to the race-car set that's quite happy without the extras in the Advance. (I'm not a member of that set - I love the Advance's feature set.)

BTW, "Rear USB Charger Ports (2)" is in fact listed in the Tech trim box in the Trim Walk I posted above.

So what's the deal with the headliner? Does a black headliner only come on the A-Spec? The few videos floating around of Advance models all have the awful looking tan headliner even on a black interior.

Oh I saw those. I was referring to how none are mentioned on the standard model but it certainly will have one or two up front.

A dealer gave me this copy and said it will be the only colours available for each RDX trims (I live in Canada, Quebec province). Note that the red exterior colour is only available with the A-Spec, and cannot be combined with a light interior colours. And it seems that there will be five trims, and different in some ways from the US ones. For example, technology trim has leatherette, while in the US, it is leather.

Seeing that we can get TLX A-Specs with either the Tech or Elite (Advance) trims, there's a very good chance the RDX will have that choice. Traditionally, Canadians have always gotten Honda and Acura models and/or features that our Amerifriends can't. Fingers crossed because I'm thinking of moving to the RDX A-Spec Elite when my TLX lease expires in 2020.

This better be the case or i may cancel my pre-order. My pre-order stipulates and A-Spec with Advanced package and the sales rep seemed to think the trims would parallel the TLX. Guess we just have to wait and see!

And I honored that, by not publishing it here. I'm loyal that way. My document is from Acura...and at the top right is says.."CONFIDENTIAL." Why, 'cause Acura in it's ways of doing things was not ready to put in print for the world

I know it's been frustrating for most who want one....since some Zone cars are now showing up at dealers for buyers to "look over." Some dealers have gone against what Acura has directed....like not letting the cars be driven at this

Some dealers follow the rules....obviously other's don't. I'm sure Acura will have something to say to them about that. My dealer follows the rules....whether customers or folks here like it or not. But, then again...they are the #1 Acura
Dealer in their Region each and every year. Hmmm....wonder why. Ethics....ethical....great GM and people he has put together at an amazing new overhauled facility at a cost of over $5M.

Anyway.....when the RDX's are all over the lots and buyers are happy...and Acurazine folks are happy again....you'll all have a laugh at the "ravenous frenzy" over information that always goes on here.
Happened when the 2013 all new RDX was coming out. Crazy stuff.

The feature sheet that I have from my friend is a little bit different than the one that was posted here. Mine says, under the Advance trim, "16-Way Front Seats with Ventilation".

Appreciate the information but not sure how posting the document all at once or hinting it out piece by piece in a few different threads over a couple of days is any different.

It appears that the Advance tire size is 235/55/19
Not thrilled with those rims at all. Would like to swap for the A-Spec 20" rims if possible with a minimalupgrade fee. If not, i may use the 19's as my winter tire set-up.
One question I know we can't answer yet is whether RDX will support two sets of TPMS sensors to allow switching to winter wheels without making a trip to dealer.

Different in this way. 1. I was asked to not show the doc. 2. Info. I took from it I used buy did not disclose or show the source. 3. The doc. had "CONFIDENTIAL" on it....so I honored that and did not "show it."
Did I push the boundaries that I was given...I guess...but, to me dribbling out info.....vs. showing the doc. are 2 different things. IMHO.

That's correct. The Advance has 16 way front seats..both...and with powered thigh support and side bolsters...that the A-Spec does not have. And ventilated as is the 12 way A-Spec seats.
This was just confirmed for me by an Acura "employee" that was just now sitting in the Advance and going through "things" and answering questions from me. He said the Advanced seats are amazing.

I have two separate sets of TPMS sensors for summer and winter on my TLX. If I remember correctly, the sensors will autosync with the vehicle and doesn't need a trip to the dealer. I assume this how it is with all Acura vehicles.

Smile Info. from Dealer Emp. sitting in the Advance

My dealer connection was on the phone with me as he was checking out "things" on the advance. Here is what I got from his so far.

1. Advance tire size is as I just read here....235/55/19 and they were Continental Cross Contact LX Sport tires. Does not believe that 20's are a factory option. Only an A-Spec size. Hmmm..more to come on that.
2. There IS a doughnut spare tire underneath the rear floor!! Surprise!!! Glad of that. Accessed from underneath.
3. He said it was very quiet...out on a ride with it....and rode very well.
4. So far...reading the Manual...he could not find a "connection" to the Dynamic Drive Mode and the Adaptive Dampers. Still waiting for a verification of that. He now goes to Chicago on May 23rd to drive and talk to engineers.
5. He said the "touch pad and screen operation" are also....amazing. Very quick and right where you want it.
6. I asked him to check to see how the "hands free tailgate" operates. Waiting on an answer.

They only have the RDX today for 4 hrs. But, the same one will be back Saturday for 11 hrs. NOT drivable...since so many people and just 1 RDX. The Acura Rep. that is with the Zone RDX will take some folks out. Sneaked out
the back door I guess...???? LOL....LOL!!!

I will be there Sat. weather permitting. Storms and hail have hit lately and are possible through the weekend.

I also wish the Aspec got the Advanced goodies. I'm thinking it's for costing purposes as the Aspec extras plus the Advance features would be quite expensive. Basically I want a full loaded vehicle that looks sporty. Here you get a good amount but there is still more to give. I think once we see the costing that might change our minds.

My '17 RDX "auto syncs"...just take it for a slow drive around the block...and watch the screen as each locations tire pressure starts popping up. When you start out it will still be showing the previous readings from the other sensors.
I had to drive a little distance before those then "shut off"....screen went blank....then kept driving and then the new sensors readings started showing up...basically one at a time....generally.

I hope this trend of not include a donut, and instead, including a can of fix-a-flat & compressor is finally done. I had to optionally order the spare tire kit for my TLX and I'm glad to see the kit standard on the new RDX.

I agree. My dealer put my name on an A-Spec and an Advance. I'm on the fence which one to get. I look over the "list of std.features on the Advance" and wonder "what can I do without?" The Interior of the A-Spec in red is amazing...
gauges are cool and much different looking that the Advance's more "benign look." I prefer 19" wheels/tires....so the 20's don't do it for me. Too easy to pop a tire and damage a rim. The A-Spec does have "adequate" features that
would make most anyone happy....I think. So, I'm back and forth. Wife like the red interior...and she like the Advance in white with parchment interior. She's had 2 of those. Each are compelling in their own ways.

Darn Acura...as well as other companies. Generally....no "pick and choose' separate option lists to mix and match what we want and don't want. Those days are long over.

I just thought of something. Since this "Zone RDX" does not have a window sticker....I don't know if that doughnut spare is std. or an option...again, like it was on my TLX. I THINK it is std. I'll find that out soon to make sure.
