Weird issue happened this morning when I went to start the RDX, I went to start the vehicle with the Driver Door Open and the RDX Turned On and then quickly Turned Off with the Battery light on in the Dash. I closed the door and started again and it worked just fine. Maybe a fluke not sure but will keep my eyes on this.

 

I can safely say that I've had more transient bugs and quirks in this vehicle than any other I've owned. It will exhibit some action or error in one moment and never, or rarely, do it again. So many things are controlled by logic and it just seems to fail a logic test every so often.

 

It’s such a shame especially how much we pay for these!

 

This might be a glitch, but I’d just as soon ascribe it to some misunderstood (or misconceived) safety feature. This car is too clever by half, and there are times it behaves in ways that don’t make sense but which are probably intentional.

 

Just went down to the garage and tried to replicate this issue. Opened the drivers door and left it open, started the car and it stayed on. I have a 2019 A-Spec. Replicate it, record it and take it to the dealer.

 

I did it again and not on purpose and car started up just fine. I did let the dealer know so it is on record
