Is this a normal beam pattern/cutoff for the RDX? Just curious about those half circles that are above the cutoff - thanks.

 

Mine look like that. I would call it normal.

 

This Gen 3 RDX (and our 2020 CR-V Touring) have the best headlights I have ever used.

 

They are pretty impressive. I know a lot of cars have had poor headlights ratings over the past several years. I don't know how the RDX are rated, but in actual use are probably the best i have ever used. The low beams are great, the high beam are great.

 

The headlights are great. I can't tell there's any benefit from the fogs. On my '16 RDX, the fogs would fill in the area near the car and off to the side a bit, helping in turns. On the '21, I can't even tell if the fogs are on other than the indication in the instrument cluster.

 

Agree that nothing looks unusual there. Also agree that these Jewel Eye lights are excellent. Along with the sound system and seats, these are greatly appreciated features of the car. However, the sharp cutoff is easy to track and I know when I'm hitting oncoming eyeballs with all the many photons. I know the output is regulated, but it still makes me cringe a little.

 

The RDX headlights are great, as good as my BMW ones were, which were far and away the best I ever had.

 

My old eyes love the LED head lights on our RDX. Like JB mentioned the LED's on our former CR-V Touring were also great. I can't say the same for the low output bulbs on our 2012 CR-V (pre LED's)

 

The driver side headlight I believe supposed to be a bit lower beam, this is intentional.
