Spooky RDX

This morning, I went out to find all four windows and the moon/sun roof partially open. But, they were all closed when I left it the night before.

Does anyone know how this could happen? (I feel like I'm in an episode of the Twilight Zone.)

if you hold down the unlock button on the key fob; it will roll down your windows and sunroof.
something must have been smashed against your keys.
the half way sunroof tells me that it was pressure was released from your keys at that point

Thanks for the laugh, CoachRick.

Yes, in Florida, I suppose that would be a nice feature. Anyway, I experimented with it, and that's exactly what happened. Now to solve the riddle of how it actually did.

We have really big palmetto bugs in Florida, which is why I don't want this to happen anymore. They probably would really like the new digs.

Yep, I really don't leave anything open for too long with all the Texas critters running about. DW got a couple of blocks down the road a while back and called screaming like she had been attacked!!! The attack was an anole crawling across her back . We now put the convertible top UP every night even though it's in the garage. Good thing it wasn't a scorpion or snake

Yes, justnspace, garaged here. It was either me or husband. Husband swears he didn't go behind me to 'check' if I locked it.

CoachRick, lol. I so get your DW there. No surprises please!!

Btw, Texas born here and Florida raised. What a combo, huh?

Guess you're used to the heat! We're looking for 81 degrees tomorrow!

Same here, Coach. Humidity makes all the "uhhh" difference in Florida, I suspect. "uhhh" Where did winter go??

^^^ Winter came to eastern Canada We have wind chill values of -35C tonight and a blizzard expected to hit Nova Scotia and southern New Brunswick with upward of 2 feet of snow in some locals on Saturday

So I'll take the humidity, I'll take the palmetto and I'll even scream like a girl if I could get away from this ^(&@)&_)E*@ winter. I just need my Tim Horton steeped tea!

I remember when I got my TL, I accidentally "butt-dropped" the windows and opened the sunroof on my car. We were on the 2nd floor of an office building when I noticed that all the windows were down and the sunroof was open. Then I realized it had rained. I had only owned the car for about 2 days. I ran downstairs screaming thinking my 2-day old car was soaked on the inside. Luckily the windows and sunroof had come down after the rain... no damage done.

I suppose I'd feel the same way. Here's hoping the Tim Horton tea will keep you warm in the meantime.

Rocketsfan... What a scare! I don't like that feature.

Not really...many vehicles have that feature. My Accord Coupes had that. I know others have. I've accidently "opened" the windows and sun roof before. Just have to be aware and check.

Well, figured out the culprit was me all along. Usually, I keep the fob clipped onto a small ring attached to a zipper inside my purse, so it dangles. But, the day before the incident, I had used valet parking, and so had detached it, so it was down inside my purse competing for space, I suppose. Probably, as I walked through the house with the purse on my shoulder, I must have pressed it into something and activated the window thing.

This really isn't a great feature for someone who was only slightly OCD about checking the locks.
