RDX DIY question about airbag/multiple dashboard light

Hi all , this is going to be a long post . I purchased an 3rd Gen RDX from an auction for personal use back in June, it has been coming good so far .Have replaced the driver side curtain airbag and the steering wheel airbag along with clock spring and got a new fender painted and put on the car .Also sent in the Srs module for reset to an specialist but the Srs light has been on even after reset. The guy who i sent it to reset told me that i need to recalibrate the ODS/OPDS system in the front passenger seat. Can you recommend if this is the right thing to do to clear that Srs light or do i need to replace any more crash sensor srs connnector for the side airbag that i may have missed?
Also about 3 weeks after i plugged the Srs module after reset every single light is lighted on the dash now , this is similar to when i drove with out the Srs airbag module all the lights were lighted up on the dash and i do understand it's not safe to drive on public streets with all the lights on the dash but is there any long term damage to the engine or tranny if i keep driving it till i get it fixed?

The SRS control unit is on its own loop and does have thorough checks on every component in the safety system. Your best bet is to find someone who has an OBD-II scanner that suppprts reading safety system codes to pinpoint what is going on. The computer will tell you exactly what needs to be replaced/inspected.

I did take it to a couple of shops and none of them were able to scan using the scan tool and are asking me to take it to the dealership for getting it scanned/fixed. Unsure about taking it to the dealership as with the costs involved , there is going to be a 200$ non refundable diagnostic fee upfront .

Presumably you saved some money when you bought the damaged vehicle from auction. Now, you must incur some more costs to repair all the damage you MAY have underestimated.

That might be the only option, unfortunately. Let me ask you this question to convince you - are you worth more than $200?

the other option is to go buy the tool to scan it yourself, but your looking anywhere from $3,000-$6,000 I would say and possible a subscription to techinfo for I-HDS, otherwise the dealer is your best bet
