PRL orders - any experience or pending orders?

Hey all.. Just curious if anyone has any pending, unshipped orders from PRL?

I placed an order for the RDX intake hose thing on July 27. It said "in stock", and a customer service person even told me "there are only a few left so order soon". Today is exactly three weeks since ordering. Last week I was told they are getting to their fulfillment facility to ship out to customers, but still no tracking number. PRL told me that even if I order from a 3rd party store, it will end up drop shipping from PRL direct so I just left the order sitting.

Anyone have any past order experiences w/them? When I ordered the Eibach springs, they shipped next day, albeit from Eibach direct....

Thanks in advance & cheers everyone!

man, that makes sense but is disappointing. This past Friday I rec'd a message that said something to the effect of:
We are hoping it will ship today, or next week sometime.

Thanks for the info @19A-SPEC

Brand optics? Makes them look bad if they had to sell the company off because of lack of profit, poor management...etc.

Personally I would cancel. They should have been honest from the jump.

That would suck, if I get the RDX I was looking at there are a few things from PRL I was hoping to get. The Stage 1 intake being the first thing!

Ordered cancelled, and when I asked what is actually going on, it was confirmed that they were purchased and are consolidating with a few more companies. He stated that they are trying to get their feet back under them and are working through the delays, short staff, etc. Thats fine, and I would have been willing to keep my order and just wait, but the lack of transparency and just straight up lying to me is what kills it for me. Couldn't find anything on eBay or amazon when I searched for a minute, but I have a 3rd party attempting to locate one for me... There are so little places to obtain parts for our cars, but I get it, very niche market.... Cheers everyone!

Have you checked any Civic Type-R/Accord websites for parts? We're lucky the 2.0T is sbared with the civic and Accord so maybe you can find it there?

I’m glad I came across this thread I was literally planning on placing an order for the stage 1 intake tomorrow!! Now I’ll have to rethink things. Already bad enough to find intakes, etc as it is now this just made it even tougher smh

FWIW, apparently they are trying their best to get their feet under them, but I'm gonna wait before placing any more orders. I have a contact in the import aftermarket industry that I inquired about getting parts, and they are in the same boat - long wait times w/no sign of recovery at the moment...

I found the same PRL intake kit on a site called Redline360 and I sent them a message asking if this was a part they have in stock or if they are just a third party who would ship from PRL. I explained that I knew PRL had delays right now and I would only order if they has parts in hand ready to ship, still waiting on a reply.

Unfortunately the intake hose is specific to the RDX. In addition, the Stage 1 kit should come with a piece to reinforce the intake scoop in front of the airbox which can collapse under load with higher than factory power levels. I chased the issue down after upgrading the turbo and not being able to sustain power at higher RPM and the PRL piece was the fix I needed.

Thank you very much for the information and correction! Such a shame they're going through some ownership problems. Hoping it's just a matter of getting their shit together.

Can I ask, did you place the order recently and it shipped quickly? or did you order this a while ago? I still want the intake tube thing but I wont order unless I know they are caught up and on time w/their "in stock" shipping of items.... Thanks!

I just posted in the sub forum as well but PRL has the intakes in stock and they are shipping out. I emailed them to confirm, ordered and already got a shipping confirmation. My parts should be here in a few days!

Let us know if it actually arrives because they did the same thing to other people, date and all, and still failed to deliver FYI.

I have UPS notifications for my address and have a secondary confirmation that I'm getting a package from PRL this afternoon. Should be good!

nice! dont worry about this taking a lot of time.. takes about 15 min max.

I got one for sale here: https://acurazine.com/forums/market/1004997 if anyone interested - ended up getting a used one before their backorder shipped to me like a month after the fact.

All done! Here is a mid work picture. Not even a one beer job and only needed the wives pink tools.

Drove around the block, didn’t really notice much yet. With this and the KN filter I know she’s breathing a little easier so there is benefit even it the butt dyno can’t tell.
