Opinions on blue calipers please
Give me your opinions, positive and negative. Acura don't give us aluminum calipers so I have to paint them, usually go with silver but this time took a chance on blue (a la BMW)..
I might have gone with fire-engine red, caution yellow or maybe even lime green. I mean, if you're trying to draw attention to the brake calipers. But you have more class than I do. Definitely a plus.
I know someone who recently took delivery on his C8 'Vette. All red, including the calipers. Too much red. When I said he should have gone with yellow on the calipers, just to break up to monotony, he agreed.

Not a fan of the blue...sorry, you asked.
When I had my White '19 Advance, I often wanted to paint them RED, give my RDX some interesting color. Never did, I didn't want to attract any more attention to the ugly wheels than necessary!
I like it. It doesn't add as much hp as red calipers but it's a little different and unique which is hard to come by these days. When I was doing this I was thinking about blue but totally chickened out and went with black. I'm happy I did though as I later added 2nd gen RDX caliper covers which only come in black.

Blue is an unusual choice….not sure it’s for me but I like that it’s unusual.
Next time I’m due for a tire rotation I’ll probably change mine to red. On my white RDX a little pop of color would look nice, I think. And my wife already shot down my other idea; changing the chrome to gold and getting gold wheels…

I think its great you went with a different-than-usual color, but this shade of blue doesn't work for me with the wheel & body colors.
I'm with most everyone else on the colors red, yellow, green, even orange or aluminum.

But if someone is gonna go blue, I think a much darker blue would have looked better on a dark gray car. The color tones need to match.
I agree with the above totally, but because Acura doesn't feel they need to put aluminum calipers on their luxury cars like Mercedes, BMW. Audi, if you don't paint them you will end up with shitty-looking rusted calipers in a few years.
Colored brake calipers started with Porsche creating the trend for the upgraded brakes for the Carrera S in RED, when Porsche introduced Carbon Ceramic brakes for their cars they selected the YELLOW color.
Yes, I recall my neighbor who had a fairly new 911S Targa convertible, or something like that...and it had yellow calipers. I chose the MGP caliper covers for my white A-Spec but went with black. I wasn't looking to draw a lot of attention to them (as in Brembo red) but liked the "Acura" and "RDX" imprinted on them.
