When I start my 2022 RDX Advance, I hear a loud clanking noise near my feet. It sounds like it is from the engine. Seems to go away as soon as I go into reverse or drive and doesn't even come back when I go back into park and idle again. Any ideas?

 

If you shut the car off and start it again, does the noise return or does it only happen when you start it cold? Bring it in and see if they can duplicate it.

This is the second thread you've started on funny noises. Bring it back to Acura and have them fix it.

 

Hey Gadgetfreak, let me know what you find out? For me, the brake pedal vibrates every 20 or 30 seconds at vehicle start up while in park. If you sit quietly and rest your foot on the brake pedal without pushing it, you can feel the brake pedal vibrate.

I am not sure if it is because of the EBB / electronic brake booster or not? Maybe this is the sound you are hearing? It is definitely a noticeable thump sound if it is pitch silence in your car.

Also have a 2022 model year.

Sounds like the hamster in your engine collapsing from exhaustion LOL. Hard to tell what it might be without being in the vehicle with you.
