When I start the car my Infotainment screen goes blank with the message that it is loading. This lasts a variable time, up t9 about two minutes during which it will accept no commands. The dealer told me it is loading my XM radio channels. I called XM and they had no explanation for it and said it was the first such complaint. This never occurred with my 2008 Acura TL which started playing XM channels as soon as the car started.

Does it do this with audio turned off, or input set to something other than XM?

I suspect dealer rep is FOS, or something is seriously amiss with the XM radio subsystem in the car. There is an antenna module separate from the "black box" of the infotainment system.

OTOH I never use XM anymore, so it could take a year to load XM stations and I wouldn't know it.

Switch to radio, then back. Sometimes the shit gets hung up, especially if you have a lot of presets.

I leave the radio on XM all the time tuned to either FoxNews or music. The problem does not occur if it is set to AM or FM.

Try NPR for the cure. But you might want to ease into it.
