The leather at right rear of my driver seat feels rough. I don’t believe it is dry but rather ‘crinkled’ from sitting. I tried some Lexol Conditioner but it didn’t do a thing. Just a tad concerned the leather in this area will crack. For what it’s worth the issue is on the passenger side as well but not as bad due to less use. Let me know! Thanks!
not really leather; it's synthetic or man made to look and feel like leather, but without the need to actually care for leather
pretty certain the tech package and above are real leather, if you read their specs they have this: Base: Sport Seats with Leatherette-Trimmed Interior
tech and advanced: Sport Seats with Perforated Milano Premium Leather-Trimmed Interior with Contrast Stitching
aspec: Sport A-Spec® Seats with Perforated Milano Premium Leather and Ultrasuede®-Trimmed Interior with Contrast Stitching and Piping
If you read the description it is full grain Milano leather for the aspec. I just cleaned mine with chemical guys leather cleaner and then used chemical guys leather conditioner and it was so damn soft after that it felt amazing. I then coated them in their serum which is more Conditioner with a UV protectant.
the base is for sure fake leather but not tech and above

to the OP, what package do you have?
I have the A-Spec. My car has 3,500 miles on it so the leather is still nice and soft from factory..its just the one spot in the photo that I circled. I don’t think the leather is dry, I think it’s just feels “rough” from getting bunched you when sitting on it. Not sure. Will have to ask dealer when I go for first oil change. I did try a leather conditioner but I did nothing.

do you remember if it was like that when you got it? I mean it is an animal product, may just be some artifacts from being an imperfect item or QA missed it

Right, in my Advance I have such an "artifact" or an imperfection, like perhaps a knot, on the wood piece on the passenger door panel. It is small, but it always reminds me it is NOT plastic, but real wood.
When I was considering this car, I noticed this rippling in at least one vehicle I looked at. I think others have posted similar pics in here too. My car isn't as "loose" looking, but it's not nearly as tidy as the CX-5 or V60 I drove. Both of those cars were really nicely done; very smooth.
Just felt my seats and they’re still like new even in that area. What kind of pants do you normally wear? Do you have things in you back pockets that poke the seats as you drive? My A-Spec has over 10k miles
