The hole only shows the Acura badge. The only thing I don't like about it is it's not easy to get on and off, in case you have to use the key. You have to take it off the keychain first. I keep the fob on its own split ring. Fortunately, I've never had to use the key.

But it protects the fob extremely well. And the buttons are even easier to use than the bare fob.

Yeah I know. I didn't like that mainly because of dirt and stuff could still scratch it.
but! I made a cleaner cut vinyl instead of hand cutting it while I was at work

@JennyCupcakes Classy.. I was looking for something simple to distinguish Driver 1 from Driver 2 keys, and ended up getting the TPU one others mentioned above. It's fine, but it does make it a little bulkier and will be a pain to get off if I ever need to access the emergency key. I might take your lead and go with vinyl instead.

For anyone looking at those flexible plastic cases that come in silver, blue and pink, don't bother with those. They are hard as hell to put on, requires you to use a hairdryer to make them super hot and even then they are a huge pain to get on. Afterwards, they scratch up easy and the color starts looking janky. I've had mine since November and it's already looking bad so I may just get a black rubberized one.

I need to take a moment and review the manual on the specifics of using the fob. Typically, I only use it to lock the car as I'm walking a way and I hear the beep. But last week my wife and I were approaching the car with groceries in the rain and I wanted to open the gate. Well, I must have held the wrong button for too long and all the windows and the roof opened. I couldn't figure out how to make it stop or reverse so I jumped in, started the car and closed everything up. Fortunately, it was not raining very hard at that moment.

RTFM

Au contraire. My key fob case works great. It wasn't too difficult to install. I wouldn't leave home without it. Sorry you had such a bad experience.

This is what mine looks like after 2 months. I'm not especially hard on my keys. My keyfob is on a keychain with another fob for the other car and some house and work keys and things of that nature. Ignore the stuff on the left side halfway up, that was done after I removed it early today. Focus on the bottom where all the blue came off. That was merely from being in jeans and jacket pockets. It looks terrible. $10 poorly spent. I think if I were to go with this kind of keyfob cover again it would need to be completely black like the one above.

I have the silver version of this one and it has help up fine, though I don’t carry it often and rarely is it in a pocket with anything else. It works fine for me, though I have to say that the other day I thought my battery might be dead and I dreaded taking it off to get to the physical key - it was a pain to get on and I’m sure just as difficult to get off. Luckily my battery wasn’t dead.

I got these last week. I really like them...work well, protect my key fobs, and snug to get on but not impossible.

I think it's the same as others have gotten on here(?).

Came in a 2-pack for $11.99.

I had silicone rubber covers before that were lighter in color, but "sticky". Do these pick up lots of fuzz and pocket lint?

They are smooth but not sticky, per say, but who knows over time. I keep it in my purse and I haven't noticed things sticking to it, but haven't really looked either. It mainly stays in my purse as the vehicle unlocks/locks automatically.

I just took it out to look at it closely....there were a few VERY small pieces of lint on it, I just brushed them off.

These were the best option I saw right now....I just wanted the key fobs protected & they do the job.

Revisiting this thread. My 2022 Keyfob with remote start is different from those pictured. It must have changed for 2022. Any luck finding a cover for this style?

Update...almost 2 years

FYI: I've been using these covers for almost 2 years now. They are great, like new.

Thanks but those are a different shape. Looks like the 2022 RDX Keyfob is the same as the MDX now.

I bought these for my 2021Acura RDX Aspec, with the black interior. The blessing is that the RED one is easy to locate in the SUV if you drop it or misplace it. Not so much for the black one. Plus, they are super soft and don't side.

Those are what I use too. I like the red one when I drop the car off because it's easy to spot in a sea of fobs and I can keep my regular one with me on my key chain. Very soft, tacky synthetic rubber.

Here are some pics - the best key holder IMO. They have Blue and Gray too. RED is my go too - as I have dropped it in the Acura, between the seats and in the cargo area - super easy to find - not so easy with the black. Saved me a ton of time and few profanity words in the past. Plus, in a sea of other black keys at the house with other vehicles - RED makes it easy to grab and go.

Clearly very few options on the aftermarket right now - I've ordered one of these to try it out for my new 2022 Acura RDX

Search eBay for 2022 Acura MDX key fob cover, fits perfect but it does cover the feedback lights. I made holes in mine so I can see them using a sharpened piece of copper tube.

Here's my cover after drilling holes and also a pic with the fob in the cover with the light showing. I also put a hole in the back so I can see if it's remote 1 or 2

It's just OK - doesn't fit perfectly upon initial install as it's a tad tight. My sense is over time it will be fine.
