How to obscure VIN number

In Toronto, there are record numbers of auto thefts every day. While it is usually Lexus/Toyotas being stolen, I don't want to take any chances and have been told that thieves use the VIN number to help decipher the rolling code to unlock/start the car. I want to obscure the VIN number under the windshield and tried to insert a piece of paper between the windshield and dash to cover it but it is blocked.

Anyone have any idea how I can get something in there to cover the VIN?

P.S. I also installed a hidden kill switch as my RX350 was stolen twice and if I get a third theft, I likely won't get insured.

thanks

Sorry to hear about the prior thefts - that stinks!
Not sure if this is legitimate concern with VIN number but I found these two articles saying don't bother:

The fact your insurance company is threatening to no lomger insure you because of thefts you had nothing to do with is absolutely ridiculous. Bunch of crooks.
