How Concerned Should I be?
I plan to buy a new vehicle in Dec. or Jan. I have narrowed by search to the 2020 RDX, 2020 Subaru Outback, and the 2020 Toyota Highlander. Concerning the RDX, I like much of what I have read and the reviews I have watched. However, I have concerns regarding the infotainment system. I am not concerned about adapting to the trackpad—with a little practice I can adapt to most new technology. My concern is focused on reliability and stability. There seems to be a lot of problems with the system (and the Honda Pilot infotainment system as well). Are the issues being resolved? Should I avoid the RDX because of the infotainment system?

The latest update fixed most, if not all my issues, although it has only been one week or so.
I don't use Android Auto and I don't have iPhone to connect to the RDX.

Keep tracking here, since the update is no new. I have not had any infotainment crashes, and Carplay has worked the few times I have used it.
Are you Apple or Android? That matters.
Has Subie solved it’s oil leak/consumption problems?

2020 RDX White/Espresso
I haven't had any problems since the latest update, using internal nav, carplay, sirius, FM, google maps. I didn't have many problems before though.

I have an iPhone. I think the Subaru issues are resolved, at least the ones you mentioned.

Thanks for the reply. I’m confused that CR moved the RDX to not recommended what seems to be problems with the infotainment system.
