Using the True Touch Pad interface, I’ve not been able to directly cancel driving directions prior to arriving at my destination while navigating via Apple Car Play.
There must be an easier way to cancel the guidance instead of unplugging my phone from the USB interface, or pressing the “End” button directly on my iPhone? Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Try using Siri. Long press on the “talk’ button on the left side of the steering wheel.

Short press gives you voice command of Acura, long press gives you voice command for Siri.

If you move your finger around on the touchpad during navigation, does it not give you a button on top (left?) that says "EXIT" or "END"?

I’ve attached some pics to help you. The True Touch Pad acts like a traditional mouse in Car Play.

You see the blue highlighted circle on the bottom right of the arrival times box, click it.

There you End Route!
