Has anyone tethered an iPhone's navigation yet?

I generally just use my iPhone for navigation when it's needed but apparently we can now (at least on the 2016) tether our iPhones to the cars main screen for a mirrored image of the phones map. The app is like $59.00 and the proper cables are also required.

Has anyone actually used an iPhone to mirror the navigation? Just wondering if its's worth the money to have it work.

We haven't received our Premiums yet, but there are some disadvantages to this system vs. the built in navi. Most noticeably the lack of automatic re-routing if you miss a turn. I'm trying to figure out a way to get this system myself, you'd think there would be a program for sales consultants to demo it for clients.

In my other vehicle (F150) I have navigation but have used it maybe a half dozen times over the years. I figured for the added price I could live without it as long as I have an iPhone or a Garmin.

The dealer did mention that using the iPhone app I won't have the rerouting feature. I'd love to read someones review before wasting my money on a $59. app!

Thanks for that link, just what I was hoping for. I just assumed it used the upper screen, not the lower one but either way it doesn't really matter. Certainly seems worth the price of getting the app and cables though.

Does anyone know if the phone would still work with incoming and out going calls when the map function is on?
