It was nice being part of this community. Though, I have decided to trade in my RDX 2020 Tech FWD for a MDX 2022 Type S Adv. My family is growing and I feel it's a struggle fitting two car seats in the RDX along with the stroller.
Originally, I was looking at buying a Lexus LX 570 (2016+) as a family car. However, it's impossible to find one that is well maintained. I test drove the Lexus TX (and it feels too floaty). Ultimately, I have decided to get a 2022 CPO MDX Type S ADV. I was able to find one that had 56k miles with consistent Carfax (recent major scheduled maintenance). It came out to 48.2k after delivery across the state.
It was a pleasure being part of this community. Let's hope I don't regret getting a car with air suspension.
Congrats and good luck with you new ride Your post sounds like you are leaving Acurazine but I'm guessing you are just saying goodbye to the 3G RDX forum? Even with that there is no need for you to even say goodbye here. You may have something to add or comment on going forward.
There are forum members who no longer own Acuras that still contribute to Acurazine.

Most automotive journalists highly praise air suspension systems. We’ll await your feedback.
Air suspension is good for comfort, but it reduces the reliability significantly. Savagegeese said it is like $1500 per corner for price alone.
Regardless, you gotta pay to play! One thing I regret is not getting the SHAWD for the RDX. I think if I gotten the SHAWD version, I might have waited another 3 years to trade in.
Though in 2020, there was 5k off MSRP for 41k OTD for FWD RDX. Dealer wasn't budging for SHAWD as there was no bargaining power. My needs we're different then. I just wanted point A to point B in premium comfort.
Now I want to be able to switch between dropping toddler at preschool in comfort mode (future) and switch to sport mode on the way to the office.
I did the trade in through a internet site. If it works out, I'll share my experiences here. Still waiting for the delivery of my car.
I swapped the 2020 RDX for the 2022 MDX today. Coming from a FWD RDX to a SHAWD MDX makes it so the larger size is negligible for manueverability. The engine does feel alive. True, it didn't had that acceleration compared to the lighter RDX, but the car rides smooth due to the air suspension.
I thought it will be barely a side grade because 2020 RDX to 2022 MDX. However, the quality of the leather stitching, ergonomics of the chair, and the cabin noise isolation with air suspension is crazy good. Very smooth.
I'll post details on how the online experience is later in this thread along with the dealer. It is still to early to review everything, because there are small issues with the logistics. It might not even be an issue. So I won't post details until later to ensure the review is fair.

Shouldn’t the type S in your MDX have more power than the RDX?
I had this car since August 23, and am still working on two logistical issues.
1) Car was delivered with no temporary license plates or tags (this is California). I called the sales manager on day of delivery, and he emailed me temp license plates and tags as a stop gap measure. He said he was going to overnight me a copy of temp plates and tags soon. It's August 26 and still no temp plates and tags (I'm using a printed PDF version that they emailed me). I was promised I will receive it tomorrow the latest, August 27.
2) Car was delivered with no floor mats, despite it being a CPO (number 163 of 183 CPO checklist notes that floor mates must be present). I called the sales manager same day of August 23. He said he was going to explore the issue. I called sales manager on August 25 and he promised he was going to send it out to me.
I live in NorCal, and bought car sight unseen from SoCal. Such a headache over tiny logistical issue. I know I'm overthinking some of this, but I feel that a car purchase is a such a large purchase, and I would prefer everything to be done once monies exchange hand. Though, I wonder if the dealer is taking their time, because I have until August 30, 2025 to return the car.
I bought the car from SoCal since it was cheaper than NorCal CPO Type S Adv by $7,000 (due it being ~58,000 miles). I think hindsight, it might have been easier for me to get a cheap flight down to SoCal to buy the car. Or just pay the $7,000 extra for a lower mileage CPO in Norcal. Though, I wonder if the lower price was also due to below CarFax history.

I didn't think much of it, until one of my friend that examined it state that transmission related repairs typically scare away potential buyers. Though, I don't think it's a big deal since it was fixed at an Acura dealership. In addition, since it's a CPO, any transmission related items should be covered until mid 2029. I guess for a buyer that's more interested in hauling their kids to preschool, the missing floor mats bother me more.
Yeah, CPS and torque converter are not typical repairs on a car with lower mileage, but at least you know they've been done and ideally won't be a problem point again. The torque converter change so soon after all those other fluid changes also makes me wonder if someone botched the fluid service itself. No way to know for sure though. Hopefully you get all that resolved and enjoy a long, trouble-free life with the car.
Being a CPO, does it come with a warranty to 100k miles?
The car first sold date to original owner was around April 2022. So I have power train warranty until April 2029 at 100k miles.
I bought the car on August 21, 2025. I have limited warranty for non powertrain items until August 21, 2027.
I think I'll find out if the transmission is doing fine or not by April 2029. Car came at 57.8k miles on ODO. I drive around 5k miles a year (I telework). So I think I'll be trading this in April 2029 at 80k miles.
Hopefully there will be a MDX Type S Hybrid CPO for sale around then. If not, I'll keep the car. Since I been driving it around town and car shifts smoothly. At first I thought sports mode was buggy because it won't downshift. But I found out that is how it is designed to keep it more responsive.
