Front Door Handles Unresponsive
Front Door Handles Unresponsive
Hey everyone,
I've been facing an ongoing issue with my car's front door handles, and I’m seeking advice on what to do. For the past few weeks, the front door handles have been barely responding. It's worth noting that we've had snow since December. Interestingly, both rear door handles work just fine 95% of the time. Even when the front handles are clean and dry, they still barely respond. I always have to use my fob or touch the rear handle to unlock the car. It's kind of disappointing because I've never encountered this type of situation in the past 5 years with my previous Honda Accord. Otherwise, I absolutely love my RDX.
I understand that rain and snow can affect the resistive touch of the door handles, but it’s puzzling why only the front ones are problematic. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Should I consider replacing the front door handles?
Thanks 😊

Could it possibly be because the key fob is in the same pants pocket as your cell phone? I sometimes forget they can’t coincide in the same pocket (but then my door won’t unlock when I touch it).

When it happens, I use the rear handles and they always work with no issue so to me, that rules out the fob/cell phone in the same pocket....
Same issue
2019 RDX. Same issue. It is random.
- Yes, if you have fob in same pocket as Cell phone, it will interfere.
- But even if Cell phone is not near, I get this issue randomly.
- Best option is to simply open the rear door (which always works).
