Door open logs?

I recently had something taken out of my car, and was curious if Acura kept a log of when the door was actually opened or locked?

I have the acuralink app so was curious if they have a record of it

Doubtful though.

Word of advice for those who haven't. Put on the setting that automatically locks your doors when you walk away from it.

No log that I've ever found. If you query the status using the Acuralink app, you can see if the doors are open and/or locked at that instant, but that isn't much help. I second your advice on the walk-away locks -- very handy.

Sorry to hear!

I have used the walk away auto lock since before I bought the RDX (My 18 CRV that I traded for the RDX had it also), Wonderful feature!

I wish the Walk Away Auto Lock worked on both transmitters #1 and #2 simultaneously; at least on my 2020 Advance only the remote transmitter that was used to unlock the driver's door prior to the setting change in "Settings" can activate the auto lock. Since my wife was the first to set it up at the dealership when we purchased the car, her #1 is the primary transmitter. It's one of those little gripes...

That's only if you have the security package. The remote package allows you to lock and unlock the car but it doesn't display current status or even an acknowledgement after you send the command. Kinda dumb.

I'm pretty sure you can set that preference for the other FOB as well. You need to enter the car with the desired FOB, then go to the settings, and be sure it shows that FOB # (Driver #) on the display. I have ours set that way, as well as our 2020 CR-V Touring. It can be a bit confusing.

Agree that locking your car is always a good practice, even when it's parked in your own driveway. It's a very big issue at least here in the NYC suburbs. And apparently, it's amazing what people will leave in their cars. Tip #2, don't leave valuables in the car overnight or in plain sight. I've heard stories from my cop buddies about how people leave their wallets in their cars overnight with all their credit cards and even social security card. Why the heck does anyone carry around their SS card? Apparently, it's a lot more prevalent than you might think. Either way, locking the car up is a good idea, as the tactic used is generally trying the car door, and if it's locked, they'll move onto the next car ... unless they see something very valuable, like a laptop, tablet, power tools, etc ... then they might smash and grab.

Also, don't leave your car running in front of the convenience store, even if you're only "running in for a second." At least with Honda/Acura, you don't need a key to jump in and drive away.

I have personally seen this so many times, I can't believe it. Absolutely one of the stupidest things you can do short of hitting yourself in the head with a hammer. Here's someone who doubled-down on stupid by leaving their 8-year old in the car with the engine running in front of a 7-Eleven. The puke in the red van is perusing to trade his current stolen vehicle for a better one.
