Does using the handle to lock make it harder to steal RDX ?

Does using the handle to lock make it harder to steal RDX ?

Does unlocking and locking your car by touching the door handle make it impossible for a car thief to steal
your car (at least stealing it THAT way) by intercepting your code because you are not broadcasting the signal via your key fob ?

For what it is worth, I’ve been told that by the dealer. However I’m a bit skeptical. You still have to be in possession of the fob so some form of communication between fob and car must occur. That being said, whatever that means of communication may be could be designed in a way to be secure.

I don't normally unlock the car by using the unlock door button on the fob. You don't really need to do it. I would walk up to the car and just grab the door handle. TBH, you need to be on defense by getting TAG or Immobilizer.

My car was almost stolen if I didn't have an immobilizer. I think the thieves did this (9 minute mark):
