Brakes wtf

I’m at 26k on my RDX and am going to need to have the brakes replaced again because they squeal so loud. Had them replace front and rear pads and rotors approx 4k miles ago and now same thing. Silent and then yesterday it’s back. It isn’t a little audible, it’s loud af at any speed under 30, so any in town driving is unbearable now. And after a little time it will be at any speed with light medium pressure applied. So any time you need to slow down its like a nail across a chalkboard. Have race brakes on bikes and cars I built, but that goes away when warm shortly after and still isn’t as loud. The RDX just continue to scream no matter how long I’ve driven. I’ve never had any vehicle do this. And the fact Acura can’t fix it is mind boggling. Is so loud can hear with windows up, or half a block away as my girlfriend says. If anyone has ever taken the subway and has heard the screech when it slows down, that’s my RDX. How many times have others had this done? Did it fix your issue? Sorry the rant but Acura is less than helpful with their toilet paper warranty

When we had ours replaced under TSB (a 2019 A-Spec) it resolved the problem 99.9% of the time. What the dealer did was the front rotors and pads and the rear pads. What I know is that if I changed the brakes again I would defer to some of the excellent advice some have given here on aftermarket brakes and rotors. It shouldn't have to be that way, and in 2022, car manufacturers shouldn't have to stretch their minds too much to equip a car with brakes that don't squeal. I can't remember the last time I had a car with noisy OEM brakes. Why it's that way with the RDX, I don't know.

I’ve owned over 25 cars and at least 10 bikes and have never had this happen regardless of miles, use etc. is under warranty so don’t want to spend a grand to fix something that should be easily fixable. Does the mdx/tlx and whatever other letters they use for vehicles have this issue? 42k for a vehicle that sounds like it has 150k on the brakes after mild use is absurd.

I had this squealing on a 2018 MDX. Probably should have known better than to get a 2021 TLX after that. Can really hear it when it's cold.

You replaced your brakes under warranty and now the squeeling is back?

It was done under warranty about 4k miles ago and now is doing same thing. Seems like whatever Acura “fixes” is only temporary. Like straight up duct tape mechanics
