Aspec Advance side mirror puddle lights
Aspec Advance side mirror puddle lights
Hello,
I have a 24’ Aspec Advance and just noticed that my drivers side mirror puddle light is burnt out. Is this a common problem? I am assuming it’s covered under warranty? Although, I’m not sure I’m going to bother replacing it anyway.
Thanks!

You are going to find that this is a HUGH issue. I have a 21 TLX. My passenger light has been replaced twice and just had my driver's side light was replaced for the 4th time last week. Yes, it is a warranty item. When the dealership replaced my 1st light, the Service Advisor stated that Acura was using a "new and improved" light. Just a few suggestions...Get it replaced when you are in for another service and let them know ahead of time that you need the puddle lights replaced as they may not have the part in inventory as there is such a demand for them. Good luck!

Both of my 2021 RDX burned out. $178+ Tax in Canada !!!!!!!!! Acura wont cover as basic warranty is over. OUCHHHHHHHHHHHHH. All these various issues makes me think to get rid of this RDX and get something more reliable !!!
Seen a few video in YouTube on how to replace them with Honda Pilot Elite ones, they appear to be LED and not to expensive. DIY looks middle of the road - I'd try that if mine was out of warranty.

Here is an example of what the OEM Honda pilot one looks like.
Part numbers are no where the same as the OEM Acura P#'s, nor the price.

forgive my ignorance on this, I don't even know where the puddle laugh is supposed to illuminate. I've only had my 25 Advance for a couple of days....
drove once at night and didn't see anything out of the ordinary light up

According to the diagram in post #9 I supplied above, the puddle lights are on the bottom of the Front door-Outside mirrors?
I've decided that I'll just have mine replaced at my next oil change. I'm not going to make a special trip, and I'm sure by that point the other puddle light will be burnt out as well. I know from my previous TLX Type S experience, it's almost not even worth the time and effort of getting them replaced.
