Apex Blue A-Spec RDX

I posted this in the MDX threads, but figured it's best served here. I can't believe it took us so long to realize the RDX is a great fit for our family.
...

So our 2018 MDX lease was ending soon and we wanted to lease a 2022 MDX A-Spec. It would be our 4th MDX (5th if you count the ZDX) and my wife knew she wanted the Apex Blue A-Spec. I've been watching local Socal inventory for a few months and seeing the chip.shortage impact. A-Spec lease quotes (at even 10k miles a year) with $0 down were around $900/mo. For comparison, we leased our 2018 SH-AWD Tech MDX for $0 down, $513/mo (including tax). 36m, 10k mile a year. A close friend leased a 2020 Advance MDX for $0 down $505/mo (10k miles yr), including tax. Granted it was about 6 months ago and they were clearing out inventory. But to me in 12-18 months that $900/mo MDX lease is going to look incredibly high.

So I got my wife her A-Spec in Apex Blue...but in RDX form The money factor and residual are very favorable on the RDX right now. Obviously the MMC is coming in 2022, but I've read its going to be a typical MMC makeover (bumpers, lights, etc). I can live with that.

I need to take more pics as this as a dealer shot of our RDX...its an amazing vehicle and I recommend any prospective MDX owner to look at the little brother. We have 2 kids and I'm a pretty large guy and we fit great. The turbo 4 and gas mileage improvement are major plusses.

Congrats! Agreed on all points. I drove a 2021 MDX loaner from the dealer and didn't like it at all. If you need a bigger car then I guess the MDX makes sense. But if the RDX size works for you, IMO, it's a better car.

Ditto here, 2 hour solo drive in a 22 MDX. Like the RDX better. However, my lease is up in Sep and if the Infotainment system issues are not resolved I am done with the RDX.

I'm sorry you're having infotainment issues. There's grumblings on the MDX side as well.

‘Thanks, I’m sorry too. Too bad Acura really blew it with the infotainment system. I still maintain it’s a hardware issue. Too costly to recall 3 years worth of vehicles. That said, Dealer just called and my ASPEC is ready ready for pickup. Let’s see if the MOST connector fix takes care my issues. If not bye Acura.

I just leased the same exact RDX! The Apex Blue is a beautiful color. I've already gotten so many compliments about how sharp the vehicle looks! Congratulations - good pick!

Congrats as well!

I get stopped at least twice a week about my Jeep Gladiator and its Army green color (called Gator). People love it. We wanted a color on our SUV that stood out as well. Apex Blue fits the bill

I find that with all the crap that's going in all of our lives as we come out of this pandemic, people are looking for more "color" in their lives. This time around, grey white and black were not of interest to us in the color of our vehicle. We couldn't be happier with our choice.
