2023 RDX Aspec Advanced Trans slipping ?
Hey guys:
A number of times, very randomly, I will go to accelerate and my car will not accelerate but the engine will rev real high. This is while moving.
Is this a common issue ? My car is under warranty so no issue getting whatever fixed or replaced.

There is no TSB for transmission as far as I am aware, but there have been quite a few replacements.
The transmission in my 2023 was replaced when it was almost new due to whistling.

I think I had a similar problem with my 2019 one time. It was scary. Took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't reproduce. Part of the reason why I wanted to get rid of it.

my transmission is fine, but has a slow leak, or more precisely porous transmission case. The dealer cant do anything about it because it has to drip to cover plate before warranty can replace transmission. I have to live with it, big disappointment with Honda quality and warranty coverage
BTW, OP, this sounds like a safety issue (car not responding to accelerator input), so I would file a report with NHTSA.

+2 for maybe a video of the occurrence. possible have a passenger film while you drive, to show the symptoms your experiencing.
dealers will do everything to not honor or cover stuff warranty, such as claiming they cannot reproduce it.
with the video you should have a strong case, and at only 13k on the dash, they might just give you a new transmission if its not an easy fix.

This was my experience with intermittent issues (not transmission related though). I took videos on separate days, sometimes months apart, showing intermittent problems but the dealership didn't care. They have to be able to reproduce them before offering to fix them. Acura has really gone downhill.
It only happened once and was very scary. I immediately got off the road and into parking lot where I drove for a bit and did the recording. It persisted through braking to a stop. Once I turned the car off and back on again, the problem went away.
