2022 RDX - Factory mudflaps PLUS Rally Armor Mudflaps
My wife's 2022 PMC (#45 of 200) with the new Rally Armor Universal Urethane flaps on TOP of the factory flaps. This is required because there is no support at all in the back without those factory parts, the two Acura support brackets especially. I initially ordered the RA urethane flaps, then found that out when I crawled underneath for a look that I had to buy and install the other kit!.
The front RA flap picks up the four Acura screws, and the vertical flap edge is 1.25" out from the Acura flap for better coverage (as is the rear), since the PMC (and A-Spec) has wider tires than the other trims. The fronts extend downwards further than the rears. I trimmed away excess material for clearance (made an El shape) and also to stop mud from collecting between the two surfaces. There is plenty of clearance between tire and flaps at full lock turn.
Note the perfect color match of the blue RA logo:
And the rear flaps:
The RA logo is a little hidden. I did not want to go lower because that would mean an extra screw up top, and also there is a big risk of pinching the rears when reversing against a concrete curb! That could rip parts right off the car:
Here is the front wheel well:
These two pics show the two brackets that make this work in the back:
And these two pics show why you can't just mount the RA flaps by themselves:
I hope this is useful, I really like the look, and they will provide really superior protection. Note that the Installation Instructions are below this post.
