Heh, I watched this comparison video about two hours ago! Unfortunately, they didn't have a '22 RDX to actually drive. Waiting for that.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. Both cars are on our 'next car' list. The RDX would not have been, but they have made so many positive changes for 2022....(I am most interested in how the 'quieter' version actually is.) The price difference in Canada is surprising, which if I understood correctly, is not that way in the US, which is hard to understand. I agree with the comment about the RDX track pad. Sure, some like it, but I am not one of those people. And I agree, too ad they didn't offer an either/or option for track pad/touch screen, and just please everyone. Acura surely knows that the track pad is 'polarizing', but given it's appearance on the new TLX and MDX, they seem determined to keep it, for now.

RDX still has the same crap software and useless split nav/infotainment screen. Update the software and use the entire screen and might consider another RDX otherwise, I’ll be in an NX

NX, even with it's new, larger cargo hold, still doesn't hold enough to be my family car.

The RDX has vastly better handling under throttle.

The RDX has a substantially better audio system on the Advance trim.

(And in regards to the touch pad, it's great. People who have never used it for a week might hate it, but it's honestly so much safer than a touch screen as it doesn't require hand-eye coordination or reaching, as you can comfortably control it with your arm on the arm rest and your coordination saved for the road. It works very well, outside of Apple CarPlay, and this is coming from someone whose previous car had BMW's excellent iDrive system, and whose other car is a touch screen 2018 Honda Accord).

Lexus may have a nice looking design with lots of nice updated tech, but performance is still in third place when compared to Acura. It is just not a focus of Lexus as much as it is for Acura.

Not sure you noticed but I own a 2020 RDX…Other than video review, not sure how you’ve driven a NX yet to appreciate the handling. Pretty sure that the Mark Levinson audio is at least on par or superior. “outside of carplay it works very well”…I would still disagree and since carplay is my preferred interface, it gets negative points in this category.
I own and have owned a series of Acura’s and Lexus over the past 20 years. I’ve come to the conclusions that make the most sense to me.

I still can't warm up to the spindle grill that Lexus uses on all of its vehicles. To me, it is just plain hideous.

I'm also not a fan of run-flat tires after having a BMW with them.

Size wise, it's about a 1/2 class below the RDX. Raiti says ~47³ ft. with the seats down which is pretty small.

Lots of neat tech though and a huge touch screen which most people seem to love although in the videos the interior doesn't wow me from a design standpoint. Maybe in person it is better.

One car has a typical slip-n-grip AWD system like a RAV4, the other has a torque vectoring rear axle.

I drove the old NX, and there is nothing about the new NX that would upgrade the AWD system or the handling.

I certainly can't argue that CarPlay using Acura's touch interface is awful, but I still think touchscreens in cars should be illegal, and that's coming from a runner who has almost been killed twice by people poking away at touch screens and not seeing me until the very last second.

Considered the NX300. Lifeless and boring. However the F-Sport felt like an entirely different SUV. Quite good! But in the end, the RDX was still significantly better. A new F-Sport with a 2.4T? Could be nice. But even if the 2.4T is now slightly quicker than the 2.0T RDX, Acura still does a far better job tuning a suspension. Extra power alone may not make the 2.4T NX-350 a better SUV than the RDX.
