Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. I have set the auto walkaway lock to ON and it seems to work flawlessly when I walk away however when I open the trunk hatch, exit the vehicle and then close the trunk using the trunk button, the vehicle makes a few beeps and doesn't auto lock.

It seems to only work when you simply close the doors and walk away but not when your last action is closing the trunk.

Can anyone else verify if this happens to their vehicle??

Yeah, you need to stay by the trunk until it closes, then walk away, then it will auto lock.

 

It beeps because you are too far away. Trunk issue happens to me all the time (2019 RDX) because it takes a while to close and I have begun walking away and am too far so need to manually lock the car.

This will happen also if you walk away with doors open and a passenger is the last one to close a door.
