Ticking sound when on Bluetooth call

My wife drives our '14 MDX and when she calls me (her iPhone 5s paired to the MDX) I hear a very loud and continuous ticking sound all the time. I've had her call my cell, desk, etc and the issue is very consistent. What's weird is that she doesn't hear the sound on her end or any other time while driving the MDX

Has anybody experienced this? The ticking is very loud and consistent every time and the only thing I could find was an Acura Service Bulletin describing a ticking sound from the dash board caused by an issue with the paint process. I'll have the dealer check it out but the fact that she doesn't here anything in the car is confusing.

Let me know if you have any thoughts or issues (specially with an iPhone 5S)

seems to be a sound coming from very near to where the bluetooth microphone is fixed so she can't hear but you can.

Could be a radio interference thing with an unshielded speaker. My iPhone 5s causes a ticking noise in my computer speakers.

Based on my experience with MDX quality gaps, it wouldn't surprise me if the morons in Alabama forgot to shield speakers on your car...
