Ticking/rattle/clunking from drivers side front

Had a 2016 MDX w/tech, recently traded in for our new 2019 Advance SH-AWD - only has 500ish miles on it. Last week started to notice this clicking/ticking/rattle come from what sounds like the drivers side front. The problem is that it comes and goes. At first I thought maybe it was our dog's kennel we had in the back - I took that out and then drove around in silence. Nothing for the next few days, so I assumed it was something we had in the car and I was stupid.

Today my SO comes home for lunch and tells me he hears rattling in the car. I go out and drive it around the block - sure enough, it's the same sound I heard before and haven't heard for a few days. I can't really tell where it's coming from but assume it's suspension related because I heard it driving over manhole covers, etc. Tried to roll down the window to see if I hear it, but can't really tell.

I'm sure when I take it in on Saturday it will miraculously disappear again when the tech goes to drive it. Has anyone experienced this in a new 2019 (or 2018)? Looking for a starting point of things to try and check on my own. Will try to drive it after work and take a video of the sound for the tech.

Observed something similar with my 2018 advance, almost like a spring sound. In my case it happens when the car is cold but fades away once driven for a while. Going to take it to the dealer this week for the fuel door tsb and will have them check.

Here is a video of the noise. Definitely coming from the drivers side.

Here is a video (wouldn't upload last time). Great example of the sound is at between :20 and :25 and :35 -:45.

I am at the dealer this morning - and guess what? It's making NO NOISE this morning, of course, so I'm sure they think I'm nuts and are not going to be able to replicate it.

Left my car at the dealer yesterday for the fuel door tsb, similar spring noise and the transmission jerk when cold. Will update this thread when I get it back, hopefully better than before.

Yep - could not replicate. It's not making the noise for me either now. They checked the suspension said all looks fine, drove it on rough roads, nothing. Of course, it's silent as can be for me, too. I'm wondering if it's not suspension but something else - checked license plate frame, plastic cowlings in engine compartment. Can't figure out what else it may be, especially because it's sporadic.

So of course this morning I go to run some errands and the noise is back. I drive to the dealership (noise happens all the way there) to see if I can get a tech to ride with me....no dice since they’re so busy and I don’t have an appointment.

I get back in the car to drive home and....no noise. This is driving me nuts!

Not sure if OP ever got a resolution but my noise was due to the steering wheel airbag spring, they ended up replacing the airbag assembly and the issue is fixed for now.Hope this helps someone.

OP here. The noise disappeared for a good two months including a road trip to Florida and back, but again today it has reappeared randomly.

There was heavy rain last night and then it was cold this morning (high 30s), but warmed up to the 50s today. The only common factor I can somehow come up with between now and when it happened last time was the rain. But in both instances it doesn’t happen all the time (and like today it appeared after i had been driving for like 30 minutes, it didn’t start off like this). I am perplexed but really feel like it is somehow coming from the suspension.
