2017 MDX Tech Package slow response

My 2017 Acura MDX, with tech package, responds slowly to all on screen services. It can take as long as 10-15 seconds for the driver warning screen to disappear so that I can use the reverse camera’s. The entering in of navigation locations or looking up locations is so slow I do not use it for navigation. Navigating the menu whether it be for audio, the phone or any other system I’m trying to adjust, the response time is excruciatingly slow. My previous car was a 2009, different make and model and the “old” technology in that car was as fast as my smart phone. The computer system in the 2017 Acura MDX with tech package is slow switching between screens and different commands. Anyone know how to fix this?

As I understand that was one of the big changes for 2018. The start up warning is still slow to disappesr. As is trying to change channels on Sirius. Thst takes me maybe 30 seconds. There are just soo many features that need to load, and I suspect Honda is using old technology processor.

what rewlly buggs me is I cannot enter a new destination to the nav unit while driving.

Yeah, reminds me of loading a DOS app from a 5-1/4" floppy.

Or maybe a 300 baud connection to Compuserve,

it is painfully slow for sure, but you do not have to wait for that warning screen to go away for the reverse camera to engage when put in reverse

I was going to say the same, getakey--putting it into reverse should bring up the backup camera anytime.

As for the painfully slow response, I had thought there was a TSB on that for all but the 2014 and first batch of 2015 models. Others here reported shockingly good improvement from the TSB fix.

Our only hope is that GROM will release their VLine replacement Infotaintment for our Acura MDX.
I have this in my Lexus, it's awesome!
