Clunking sound coming from front drivers side suspension
Hi all,
Recently I've noticed that there is a clunking sound coming from my front drivers side suspension when a lot of load is put on it. For example, I live on a hill and at the bottom when I turn right from the stop sign, a lot of the cars weight is thrown to the front drivers wheel. The result is a pretty loud clunking sound. I've never had this happen before so my assumption is that something is broken or not working as it should. It's been very cold with some snow recently if that has any impact. Lots of salt on the roads.
Also, when I turn the steering wheel left or right from on center when the car is stopped I can feel a slight thumping vibration through the wheel. Never noticed that before either. Does anyone have any ideas about what suspension part might be causing this? I'd definitely appreciate being able to pinpoint what the issue might be. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! My upper ball joints are oozing grease, so they may be going out. I also just had my sway bar bushings replaced, so I may be noticing an issue that wasn't apparent before because the bushings were bad. It's going to the mechanic tomorrow...we'll see what he finds.
