I'm hearing a strange alarm sound after starting the car. This started happening about 3 days after we got the car. It only happens after the car has been off and sitting for about 5-10 minutes. If I turn the car off, and then turn it back on it does not happen. The alarm noise comes from under the dash and is not externally audible. If I turn the car on accessory mode the alarm does not sound. It only happens when the car starts. I've exhausted the owner's manual (the 500+ page one) and google with no answers so far. Any help on what this is would be appreciated.

One thought i had... could this be a dealer installed anti-theft device/deterrent that was not disabled? I have an email to dealer but have not heard anything back yet.

wow.. i dun think Acura uses this kind of anti-theft sound, more like a third-party one.. did you ask the dealer?

Yeah, it is a dealer installed vehicle recovery item. They install it and try to sell the service when you are closing the deal. I declined the service but they forgot to disable it. Called them and it was taken care of
