Saving exit seat position

Hi,
Got a used 2016 Acura MDX. I am trying to figure out how to save the seat setting when exiting the vehicle. For the Driver 1 fob, it is moving back a little bit and a lot more for the fob 2. I want to change and save the setting for exit setting so it moves a bit more for driver 1. Does anybody know how to do that?
Usual memory save option is on only when the vehicle is on and then the seat is in the driving setting. When the vehicle is off and the door opens (the seat moves back at this time) the memory save button is not working.

Thanks in advance.

MID, vehicle settings. Look for entry/exit setting option.

Thanks. I already did. It has only settings about enabling/disabling it. Not saving a current position.

The exit position should be fixed. It goes all the way back and parks. Same for the stearing wheel, up and to the dash. As I remember, there is a setting somewhere that keeps the drivers seat in one position.

That's what I thought. But I have different exit positions for the two key fobs. I am not sure how that happened. For fob1 it goes about halfway to the back. For fob 2 it goes all the way.

I think there is a reset to factory default settings in the menu. Maybe another setting is causing the memory seat easy exit issue?

Thanks. Actually, it does go back, but not all the way for fob1. So it is working, but differently. It will be great if I can do it without resetting everything. That's an awful lot of other settings to change.

The MDX and now my RLX have some wonky driver's memory issues with the software. My steering wheel sometimes goes down to saved position, sometimes it doesn't. No rhymes or reasons for it, just bad buggy software. I brought this issue up to service many times, and since it is not reproducible they won't do anything to fix it. I happens maybe once out of every 10 times I use the car. Complete reset might be your only option.

i fought this issue for a year on my 2018 until my dealers service manager got to someone at the factory who contacted a retired engineer who actually knew what the issue was. The issue has to do with the seat memory module software not compatible with the vehicles software. If your dealer does not understand the issue have have him contact the service manager at Salem Acura in Salem OR.

Do you happen to have copy of your service ticket notes? Can you post me a copy of what technician did to fix this software issue. I want to show to my SA next time I'm in for oil change. Glad to hear there is a fix for this annoying issue.

easiesr is to either ask them to call my service manager or better yet replace the seat memory module. That is one I dont hqve a copy of, sorry. Mike Schmidt the servixe manager at Salem Acura knows all about it.

Ok, no problems. I doubt they're going to replace anything if they can't replicate the issue. I'll see if my SA is willing to give your SM a call.

where abouts are you located? BTW bypass the SA and go straight to the SM, explain to him in simple language that this is a known issue with Acura engineering. One module, and less than 30 minutes labor on my 2018 amd the problem was totally solved.

I'm in Los Angeles Area. Ok, I'll talk to SM next time. But it's hard to make them do anything if they can't replicate problem. Maybe if more of us complain, Acura will issue a TSB

Thats why my X was in the shop for over 30 days. It took them that lont to u derstand I was not crazy. That and some phone calls to the factory. Funny thing was a couple of their loaners had the same issue. Now, not knowing your Xs build date Im sure they will balk at wanting to fix it. Thats why I suggested your SM call my SM and get the straight dope. Hopefully it will save you a lot of grief.

I tried resetting to defaults as well. Still no change. Driver's seat moves back a bit for Driver 1 fob and all the way to Driver 2 fob!
