New 2017 MDX Elite!
New 2017 MDX Elite!
Hey all,
So after initially looking all over for a 2014/2015 MDX I ended up picking up a 2017 MDX SH-AWD with the Elite package.
I'll have delivery on Monday. As a long time TL owner (still have my 07 TL) I'm thrilled to stay in the Acura family!
Do we have a thread for "things you didn't know about your 2014 + MDX?
We have one for the TLs and I have a feeling I'm going to need to do a lot of reading to fully take advantage of all the features the 2017 MdX has...It feels like I'm in the candy shop when I test drove it the other day!

My last 4 vehicles have been dark paint and black interior or darker tans...changed it up this time.
Went Lunar Silver Metallic and Graystone. I really like the two-tone interior with the dark dash and upper doors, dark carpet and light seats and door lowers.
I really wanted the Black Copper Pearl and Espresso combination but it was strongly shot down by the Mrs.

Status is......Yet to be delivered!
I asked the dealer to do the 3MM so he asked for two days to get it done so the pick up date is Thursday morning 11am!
Bit of a bummer but at least I'll have her before the weekend...The way I see it with my MDX being black, I have a feeling the 3MM will protect the paint from the stone chips we get on our highways out here.

Did you think about installing 3MM? I'm glad I did...Can barely see it and with the black color (which looks amazing but can also look ugly with stone chips etc)...The 3MM protection gives me piece of mind for those highway trips we plan on taking...It came out really well. (Still have to go back for tinting as the dealer claimed his "specialist" was sick!)
Dealer was also generous in throwing in both summer and winter mats for no charge which was nice...I have to figure out what's in that DVD they gave me with the manual...I'm.hoping it has some useful videos!

Yeah I really like the way the rims compliment the car....that style and the 20s look awesome. Also found loads of grip on the continental all seasons the car came with today going through the snow storm - dont think this one needs winter tyres.
Thanks!

Day 7 of ownership and can't stop smiling whenever I'm driving the car. I can barely hear the engine and the cabin noise is non existent which is perfect for the drive home after a long day at work!
I've gotten used to applying the corrt pedal pressure to stop the car from auto idle stop without having to press the button to temporarily disable it....
Still working my way through the nav controls...Dumb question but does anyone know if it's possible to stop the screen from booting up to this screen every time...Is there a timer to set so it goes automatically to the nav maps as soon as you start the car rather than this screen...
