Losing some settings... 2015 AWD Tech

I noticed the very first time my wife setup xm stations, they stuck. But then later in the day, they were erased and she had to enter them again. This hasn't happened since and only on the first day (we got it last Friday).

I also changed the dial notification so that song names wouldn't be read to me to off, but for some reason it was reset to auto. I'm not sure what caused this, but some of my other changes such as song by voice off stayed the way I wanted it... anybody else have similar issues?

Yes, I have a TLX Advance and my settings keep disappearing its a little frustrating. Im in the middle of a long road trip but when I get back home I will take the car in.
Minor tech glitches are to be expected in a brand new model with this much technology I'm sure it will all go away with a software update.
I do love this car though.

Good to know.. in a bad way I guess. I have an appointment next week anyway to get mud guards installed and my driver side door aligned so I'll definitely bring it up when I take it in. Thanks.

Could it be you are switching between driver 1 and driver 2 key fobs? They hold those individual settings or lack there of.

Nope, driver 2 key is in my safe and only the first key gets used. Even when my wife drives, I just hand her my keys (we do the same for her TL). Otherwise our key rings would have no room holding both Acura keys

This happened a few times with my rdx and only once so far on mdx.
ODDLY the one time on the mdx it was the first day after our factory auto start install and when i got to my destination and got back in truck everything was back to normal.

I had the same issue with settings being forgotten. Or so I thought. When you make any changes, always update the driver 1 or 2 (based on which key fob you enter the car with) settings on the drivers side door as well. It has never happened again since doing this.

You should especially do this if you use both key fobs.

It goes like this:
You enter the car and you are driver 1. You make changes to the presets or other settings but you didn't save the setting to the driver 1 buttons on the door you will loose those setting if driver 2 enters the car and their settings are different. When you, as driver 1 get back in the car the car remembers the last settings from driver 2 because you did not save the changes you made as driver 1.

If you as driver 1 did not save your changes to the door buttons driver 2 wipes them out. The car will only remember its last settings if there is no unique saved profile to either driver 1 or 2.

Bottom line: Whenever you make any changes, make sure you update your driver profile buttons on the door.

My key 2 is never in use, it's in the safe as mentioned above.

I don't use mine either. But you still need to save your setting to your driver profile when you make changes or it will just default to the last saved/default settings in your profile. E.I. the settings you entered the car with before making changes. If you don't save your setting to your profile, when you return to the car it thinks nothing changed.

Certainly worth a shot. I'll try that, hopefully it works.

Is key 2 in proximity to the car?
Oddly after i made my post, the NEXT TIME i got in my truck it showed driver 2 my wifes settings.
Her key was in the house.. i autostarted it with my fob (driver 1) and upon entering the car AND pressing start being IN the car (her key was about 15yrds from truck) and her settings were loaded.

Weird as hell

I'm pretty sure the door buttons are only for the seat/steering wheel positions. When you make changes in the menu settings/presets/climate control/etc they are automatically saved to whichever key fob is currently active.

You may be right but doing so is the only way I got my setting to stay in some cases. Coincidence, maybe? Couldn't hurt to try.

New owner here: If both people have the key in their pockets how can you tell which one is in use? We seem to have the settings sometimes work and sometimes not work, LOL!

Ok, I found the answer to my question in the PDS manual: When you unlock and open the driver’s door with a remote transmitter, or keyless
access system, the seat and door mirrors adjust automatically to one of the two
preset positions.
The steering wheel will move to the stored position when you set the power mode
to ACCESSORY.
The MID shows you which remote transmitter you used to unlock the vehicle when
you enter.

It's whoever is closest to the door and unlocks the car.

Example, i autostart the car with Fob 1
My wife goes out to the baby in the car with fob 2 in her purse.
I come out and sit in driver seat with FOB 1 in pocket, press start button
All settings & seats are on FOb 2
