Chrome Trim?

Hi All,

I am new to AcuraZine. Bought a new 2015 Black MDX base last week. Just wondering what do fellow members suggest about getting Chrome side molding VS OE body color molding?

I have the black OE side moldings on my black MDX, and like how they look.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of excessive chrome. In fact, I'm thinking about blacking out the chrome around the windows (and the beak) on my MDX.

Are there any pics showing how the shinny chrome trims will look like on a black MDX ?

The pics on the vender sites are all using a light silver MDX.

Not a fan of chromes since they look cheap. But it's your ride. If you like chromes then go ahead.

IMO, looks tacky. But that's my opinion, if you like it, get it.

I'd go OEM colored for sure.

I've got the crystal black pearl matching side moldings and I like them. Chrome would be a bit much there IMO

Badvibe, would you mind posting a picture or two of yours? I have a new MDX in graphite and am considering adding the body side molding. The pictures on the Acura web site just aren't getting it done for me and I've not seen any vehicles with them on the road yet.

Thanks very much.

I have the chrome pillar post installed. You have to watch what company that you order them from, because one brand has gaps in the pillar cause by wrong measurements were used to make the laser cut. The cuts are fine but you have 3/8 to 1/2 inch gaps.

I have a black MDX and put the OEM side moldings on. I'm not sure they contribute or detract from the appearance, but I feel like a magnet for door dings without them. I think chrome would look a little too much, but it's a personal decision.
