At the dealership for my fuel pump recall and the SA informed me that the timing belt tensioner is leaking and recommended that i do the Timing Belt Package.
It's a 2019 with almost 82,000 miles. Approx cost of the service is $1900
Is that price in line??? Located in cental east coast of Florida.

Price seems kind of high, though, that's to be expected from the dealership.
Purchase the complete AISIN timing belt kit from rock auto, find a local Acura/Honda specialty shop to install and save $$$?
Just double check to determine if there is a difference between the 3.0L or 3.5L V6 kits, though, it appears from below there is not.
Did Acura give you a break down of the timing belt service? It "should" include:
- timing belt kit
- serpentine belt kit
- water pump
- coolant
- spark plugs
- valve adjustment (if needed)
- valve cover gaskets (if valve adjustment was needed)
- oil change w/ filter
If might come out cheaper at $1900 at the dealership doing everything now if the local shop is only doing timing belt only for $1400 (and you have to do all the other items later). I would just do the timing belt if it will take me 2-3 years to reach the +100,000 miles and/or I was planning to sell in a few years.
is timing belt tensioner leaking normal? Mine is leaking too at 90k and they want 1500 to do the timing belt service. Google search shows many people are having the issue and I haven't seen a case where the tensioner breaks prior to 100k miles and cause major damage. Thinking should I do it now or wait until 105k miles?
