Timing Belt

I was wondering what the longest that someone has waited before replacing their timing belt. My car is a 1998 3.0 CL with 112K, and the TB has never been replaced. I realize that the books says to do it at 105K. Am I really pressing my luck with 112K now on the car? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I did mine at 105k on the nose?

What's the benefit of waiting?

Is it worth the potential damage to your car by stringing this out?

think i did mine at about 112 It doesnt get too cold where I live and I attribute that to the fact that the belt looked pretty good when I took it off, but a timing belt is just somthing that needs to be done if it goes.. your f'ed.

I'm pretty sure it is recommended at 100k.

Not worth the problems that can happen if you put it off, just get it done, along with replacing the water pump.

Finally did it.

Well I bit the bullet and replaced the timing belt, accessory belts, and water pump @ 112K. Only costed $535.00 at the dealership. Hopefully, that is it for car expenses for a while.
