Work Varianza T1S Sizing

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if you guys know if this sizing will sit flush on an 2010 Acura TSX.

19x8.5 +38 Front/Rear.

If not, at what offset will it sit flush? Will there be any problems with rubbing?

Can you guys tell me what tire sizes you would put on these? I'm thinking about 255/35/19. I see most people running 235/35/19. Would these be too small/thin?

Hi amc687, welcome to the forums. I think you should be fine. I run an Enkei wheel that's also 19x8.5, but 42mm and it's pretty flush. If you look in the Photo Gallery, you should be able to find some pics.

Someone else on here, Tishkevich, got a wheel that has I think a 32mm offset, and he's slammed without any problems. Will you be lowering your car?

Lastly, I think most of us with 19s are running 245/35/19, which isn't too thin at all. I haven't done the math but I think 255/35/19 shouldn't be too bad. I'd do the calculation to see how much it differs from the stock wheel and tire, though.

Please let us know what you decide, and post pics!

Mmmm, Work wheels...where's the drooling smiley?

+38 sounds a little low to me, don't they have a matrix with recommended sizes for wheel/width/offset/tire?

If you get a less aggressive wheel fitment, you can always add spacers. Can't do that the other way around.

Then again, I'm not running them so I'll shut up now.

Hi,

Thanks for your replies! I'm been scoping this site out I'm going to purchase the car sometime in January and I'm really debating whether or not to get the rims (1900 for the wheels + 930 for Michelin Pilot Sport A/S at 245/35/19 + 300 for TPMS transfer and mounting/balance) is pushing 3k. =T I don't know if I can spend that much...

I think most vendors are selling the Works at either 19x8.5 +45 or +35. I'm starting to lean towards the +45. I think you're dead on about being overly aggressive vs using the spacers in case I underestimate. However, I've seen someone's +45 which seemed pretty flush. We'll see...if I get the rims, I'm gonna post some pics up too

I have 19x8 +38 rims with 245/35/19 and it is flush. I wouldn't mind it sticking out a little bit further but overall it looks good.

Go with the +45 if you've got a choice. The rears sit inward slightly more than the fronts do too. But then you can add spacers as needed or desired.

I think I may look into the 45's =) Thanks! They have +38's for the R-disks which accounts for bigger calipers, but I dont think I have the cash for any calipers for now. I'm looking for a good deal, just emailed a bunch of vendors so we'll see!

Do you think I will be okay with 235/35/19 if I stagger my rims 19x8.5 +45 front and 19x8.5 +35 in the back?

Should I stagger another way? I don't want any rubbing of sorts.

IMHO, the only real downside of staggered fitments is an inability to rotate when needed.

Ask the 350Z/G35 guys.

You guys think the gap will be too big on 19x8.5 if I don't lower the springs?

^It won't be huge, but it will look better if you lower it, even if it's just an inch. Getting rid of the wheel gap will help the car flow better and make the wheels look bigger than what they really are

iunno if this helps but here is a pic of the rear of my car that shows the wheel gap with 19" rims and stock height. The front is about the same.

Fronts are flush with the fender, and if you don't have a stiff suspension they will hit the inside of the fender so you can pop in that little bit of fender on the inside of the wheel well yourself, or your wheel will do it.
Or get stiff springs. or don't slam your car lol. 1-1.5" drop you should be more then fine in the front on stock shocks and shit..

With my coilovers I am slammed and I still have a few threads left on the coilovers so I could go lower, but any lower and I worry about rubbing. Essentially the lower you go the better you are on REAR wheel clearance because of negative camber. The front wheels suspension have auto correcting Camber, I don't know how they do it but they have little to no negative camber regardless how much i drop it.
