Should I roll on these or wait? Work Rims
I had these on my Si but kept them after I traded my car in for the TSX. Should I roll on these or sell them and get some 19s?
These are readily available but would need new tires as these are 225/40/18s and I'd rather roll on 45 series to maintain proper speedo calibrations.
They are 18x7.5 +32 Work VS-SS, with a 3 inch lip on each wheel. What do you guys think? I have Eibach ProKit springs coming in. My 2G TSX is black.
Yes I know the valve cap is missing, I didn't put it on when I took the pic.

More pics please...

Wow those are some pretty spectacular looking rims. Amazing how the far-away shots make the rim look that much better compared with the close-up.
I think those looked just right on the Si but for a bigger car like the TSX, most people like 19's.
Personally I don't like the added weight of 19's and I'm fine with the look of my 18's on Prokits.

Three Wheelin'
Depending on how much thread you have left on the 18", it's OK to drive with 225/40/18 on the TSX, the difference is 2.98%, change to 225/45/18 then the difference drop to 0.47% in diameter. The V6 model TSX runs on 235/45/18 which is 1.79% difference compare to the stock 225/50/17 tires but you get thicker/greater sidewall height compare to the other two.
Just a thought because I know you won't get much for used tires even with lots of thread left on them. Remember you will need TPMS for the wheels.

Speedometer1: 61.8 mph
Speedometer Difference: 3.069% too fast
Diameter Difference: 2.98% or 77/100 of an inch, 19.56mm, quite a bit of a gap.
The tires are brand new and yeah I looked at the tire calculator before. These wheels won't work with the TPMS due to the multipiece design which is a drawback for me. Other than the warning light any other issues?
I'm just going to slap them on take some pics and see what you guys think.

With regard to the gap, 235/45/18 will close it. But like you said, the tires are brand new. I have the same issue with the Yokohama Advan Sports tires that came with my 19" rim. They are also a bit small, 225/35/19 (2.52%), 225/40/19 would be better. But those are amazingly sticky tires (OEM on the 911) and cost over $300 each, so I am just going drive it till they are all worn down before replacing them with 40 series tires.

Thanks man, I agree I used have 19s on my 350z and the trend used to be 19s or 20s but now most people favor 18s with low offsets. I prefer 18s as to not affect braking and mpg. Lighter 18s for function but these wheels aren't exactly super light either.
Thanks. I am leaning more towards 18s. I'm looking at 18x8.5 +30 in a lighter wheel. I know it will poke out a little bit but I like that look.

I know what you mean about the rim sizes. I find that the trend here in North America is to go bigger and bigger but when I look at the car mags from Japan the style is to keep the rims on the average to smaller side.
BTW, the TPMS issue would be a huge minus for me...I hate seeing warning lights in my cars. I say sell these off for a light-weight 18 or a nice 19.

Yeah, smaller wheel in low offsets look more aggressive to me. EVO 10s run 18s which looks small on that car but they seem to pull off the look nicely with low offsets.

Low offset is better.. I'm going with 18x10 +25 165/40/18 coming in 2 months stay tune I'm a blow everyones mind :-)

Show setup, 4.5" lip.
Track setup 18x10.5 +15.
LOL I'm not shy to low offsets as I run aggressive setups on my other cars, I just wanted a more conservative ride on the TSX.
Yeah, I already posted these up for sale.
