Lug Nut Key Missing - Alternatives Plan B?

When it rains it pours, family member has our 2009 TSX Base that needs brake service far away from home. Took to independent dealer and found that the lug nut key in the little pouch is missing. Called McGard and gave the Lug Nut Key ID to order a new one which they said will get to the area by Thursday but my family member is in a very rural mountainous area and has to leave the area by Saturday.

Anyone out there have a plan b (aka purchase a non-OEM) from Napa, Advanced Auto Parts or AutoZone? I don't have faith in the car dealership itself in making this shipment a priority.

thanks in advance
JTS

Well, my mcgard key locks stripped on my dodge and I couldn’t wait for the dealership or mcgard because I had a service scheduled that needed the wheels removed. I did what many on the forums advised and hammered on a socket that was slightly smaller than the locking lug nut and I was able to take them off that way. Ymmv of course, I was desperate.

I had to do the same once on my TL-S and if IIRC it was a 19MM socket.
