Busy couple of days for my car

I decided to go ahead and drop a couple grand on my wife's car. I have been lurking this forum for a few years now, and I wanted to thank everyone here for all the great info that is posted here. I was able to make all my decisions on what I wanted for my car, based on things I saw here on this forum. So thank you all! This is my Third TSX (2007 NBP 5AT, 2010 CBP 5AT, 2012 BWP SE 5AT). First time for me trying to post pictures of any of my cars, so I hope they work. Also, I am not a very good photographer, and I dont even own a decent camera. These are from my cell phone camera, so I apologize for the poor quality pictures.

Yeah, springs came UPS Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon my buddy helped me install them. Then Thursday I had the wheels put on, and this afternoon I took it for the tint. Very happy with everything. I was a little dissapointed with the drop on the rear, wish it was a little lower, but overall I think it looks good. With a trunk full or a car full I wont be sagging too bad in the rear the way it sits now.

They are the stock mufflers. Eyes are playing tricks on ya!
The drop actually turned out better then I hoped. I bought the H-Techs because it is my wife's daily driver, and as you can see she already has done some damage. I was pleasantly surprised with the stance, however, and I am glad I went with the H-Techs. The ride is almost exactly like stock, even with the 35 series tires.

Local shop said they were on a 3 week backorder. I didnt want to wait 3 weeks, so I ordered them through ebay. They were at my door 4 days later. Overall I am very happy with the drop and the ride as well.

Car looks great man. Subtle changes always make the TSX look so much better. Looks like you have 20% tint and I love the way it compliments the black rims on the BWP paint. Is the ride really that good with the H Techs? I want a subtle drop and that seems to be the best option. Also, nice to see that you spent a few extra bucks and got some good tires. I had p Zeros on my last can and they were a world of difference compared to some cheaper tires I've used in the past.

Thanks for the info on the tint. I really wasnt sure, all i know is when it was done i liked it...lol

As far as the ride is concerned, it is really close to stock. I drove it around for about an hour or so after i put the springs in, and with the stock wheels and tires it was virtually the same. After installing the wheels and tires i could hear and feel the road a little more, but really not bad at all. I am very pleased with how it all worked out.

The tires... very good eye, as i dont think i ever mentioned the tires in my post. I am not one to cut corners on something as important as tires. I had Bridgestone Potenzas on a couple previous vehicles and have been very happy with them. These are re970as pole position. They come with a 40k mile warranty and hopefully i love these like i have the others in the past.

My H techs rode a little too stiff for my taste. I just ordered a set of Tein Basics as I have heard they ride pretty well.

I do agree that the Tein H tech do not lower the rear enough, it needs to be about 1/8-1/4 lower.

Another 1/8-1/4 would be perfect. Oh well.

My wife took her car to L.A today (about a 2 hour drive) and she complained the ride was too stiff for her. Maybe I just havent spent enough time behind the wheel, but it felt pretty good to me. Whatever, she is stuck with it now...LOL.

Ya i know like say on the lexus IS models people complain about Tein H Tech springs being too soft, I wonder why they are so inconsistent. I have also heard of people saying the Tein basics were too firm and some say they ride great.

All I know is I had Tein CS on my Lexus IS250 and they rode better than stock. I sure hope I don't blow time and money and this set be too firm my liking that I just purchased. however I did get reassurance from on of this forums vendors excelerate performance that they would ride well for my "street" needs carry clients around all the time.

i might lean toward these springs now i was going for sportlines but with my 40 series tires think these will be a knock out.

Nice looking car. The SE has different rims than standard, right? I don't recall if they were different size or just the different color.

What did you do with the standard rims, if you don't mind me asking?

I believe the rim specs are all the same. Just the color of the rims are different. Right now they are just put aside in my garage. Not sure really what I want to do with them.

If you do decide to part with them, let me know. I may be interested in buying. I am in Southern CA too, so shipping wouldn't be an issue.
