You may want to do a little research on that battery. It seems they've considerably fallen out of favor here. Most here (including me) advise save your money, and just go with something like a Diehard, an Interstate battery, or whatever it is that Autozone sells. They seem to get nothing but high praise here.

I agree with Simba. I personally have not owned a Yellow top, but I've done a little bit of research as I was in the same boat as you and found out from a number of different posts/forums that the Yellow top's quality has gone downhill. People are suspecting this is because of their production moving from USA to Mexico. Of course, YMMV, but keep this in mind.

With that being said, my friend who owns a 3G TL had a yellow top and it gave up on him in a year. I'd go with an Interstate or something similar.

As long as the size is 51R, it will fit. Any model of battery with that size should technically work.

Look for the right size (51R), and something with more CCA (cold cranking amps) than OE if you want more power. There's a wide variety of aftermarket batteries to chose from.

The stock OEM battery is crap indeed. I replaced mine once 2yrs ago through the dealer under warranty, and last year's winter same issues so I ended up buying an after market battery. I decided to go with a bigger battery rather than the 51R, similar like my Camry's size. It not a match size wise, but works perfectly. I had to replace my tray and use a custom bracket to secure it down. The extra power and peace of mind not having to worry about my car not starting during the winter was well worth it.

Check the date codes on the battery to see how long it has been on the shelf already. They start to age as soon as they are built.
Consumer Reports found that Walmart has the newest batteries, and among the best prices too. Replaced batteries in my last two Acuras with Walmart, never a problem again.

Got a surprise today when I decided to go wash the car. Starter solenoid click due to weak battery. Seems like I may be able to charge & use it for the next few days till this arrives Wednesday.

Wow, $300 (plus tax) for a battery? And one that won't fit at that . . .. Seems a bit like overkill to me. Unless you live on the North pole, the proper group size battery with maybe another 10% CCA is really all that's needed to replace the OE battery (and contrary to all the whining going on here, I got great service out of the OE batteries in the 3 TSX's that have served the family).

That is the correct size for the V6 TSX. I only run AGM batteries, they do come at a premium. I usually get above 6 years with these AGM batteries, so they are worth the price to me. Also my cars normally has a hi power hi end audio system. That is in the works by years end.
