Waivy body panels...

Anyone notice how waivy the body panels are on TSXs? More specifically, the area below the front door handles all the way down to the bottom crease. Fortunately, my wagon is ok but I was walking around the Acura dealer while waiting for my car and noticed how they vary from one car to another. These are brand new cars. They are not dented but just waivy. I can't stand dents and imperfections on any of my cars and THAT would drive me nuts everytime I see it. What gives? Poor stamping?

It's part forming of the part in the stamping process and assembly of door handles and strikers that can deform the surface quality. If you search reflect lines this is one of the test auto manufacturers use to confirm surface quality. IMO I am impressed you found them, because my belief was most customers do not even look at this when purchasing a car. Kudos to you.

I work in a stamping shop for Toyota/Lexus and you would be amazed the attention to quality they have.

Me and my OCD side saw some on hoods as well. We all know Acura uses very thin metal on the hood

True but at least it's better quality than my Civic was.

I have one spot on my hood that is noticeable. Its not a dent but its clearly not flat and can be detected from certain angles. Can PDR even fix it? Its on the passenger side center of the hood. It just bugs the crap out of me everytime I see it. And when I dont notice it, I look for it. Damn.

You've got a disease my friend, for me it's when I see the TSX dirty. It's a white car so it gets dirty fast but at least it's not as bad as black (I'm going to be getting a black car next so no hard feelings).
