Speaker Phone

People are complaining about the sound quality when I call them from my blue tooth speaker phone. I use a Blackberry Storm. Has anyone else had complaints or complements about this?

I think this might have to do with the overall lack of quality that's been reported in this forum in regards to the HFL. This was my first experience, and I've definitely had people tell me I sound like I'm in a "tunnel" or a "tin can". My girlfriend gets annoyed, so I know to just answer my phone normally when she calls, rather than through the HFL.

From what I understand, there are some non-luxury brands that produce better Bluetooth systems than this one (I heard Nissan was pretty good). I think we're just going to have to accept the lesser quality, and hopefully -- for their own benefit -- Acura/Honda will revamp their system for future models.

I use an LG Chocolate phone with mine.

I have the Blackberry pearl & I noticed when I had my phone sitting in the "Not an Ashtray" ashtray, lol, the interference was really bad for the listener, but didn't affect my listening quality.

So...I plug the phone in the center console and keep it there now and I get fewer complaints.

I seriously am thinking about getting a high quality microphone and installing it in my car where the OE one is.

Turning off Echo Control (if your phone supports it--my BlackBerry Bold does) helps the quality a bit, my callers have told me.
