Shifter getting hard to shift

Has anyone had the shifter become harder to shift? It feels like I hit a rubber bushing when going into gear. It is becoming harder to push through. Clutch seems the same as it was a year ago when I purchased it. No slipping. This is a 2009 with 90,000 miles. Am I just getting close to a new clutch? Also I am in Florida and humidity is super high right now if that matters.

Thanks for any advice.

I would look at your shift cables and cable bushings. OEM cable bushings are rubber, maybe they deteriorated on you, or worse, you bent your shift cables.

Both should be visible on the left side of the OEM intake box on the engine side. Since you have a CAI in, it should be even easier to look at. The cabin side will require you to take apart your center console.

Can also try changing out tranny fluid and see if that helps. Mine feels like slush during the cold winter mornings but goes back to normal after the fluid gets some heat.

Thank you for your suggestions. I see what your talking about. Rubber looks good but I just drove the car so I will let it cool. I think I will start with the transmission fluid change. I have not done it since owning the car so regardless of if this fixes my issue it can't hurt to do It.

Takes just under 2qts of fluid to change out. If you are DIY'ing, remember to break the fill bolt first before the drain. Don't want to be stuck with no fluid and unable to fill.

It's also overfilled from the factory too.

My car had both shift cables replaced a few months before I bought it for a hard to shift problem. Talked to the Acura techs and they said its pretty common for binding. Just curious what route you took and if it solved anything?
