Serpentine belt tensioner question

So I need a new serpentine belt tensioner and according to the Acura parts website, there are two parts with different part numbers for part #4 seen here: http://estore.honda.com/acura/parts/...++06&dl=251269

I have tried using my VIN number when searching for the parts, but it did not narrow the results down. Does anyone have any insight into this that could let me know which one I need to buy?

Thanks!

I'm going to guess that one includes a new pulley, and one doesn't. I'd suggest calling or emailing the seller and asking for clarification.

Thanks for the response, but I ended up calling the dealership and the reason there are two part numbers for the same parts on that page is because the different PNs are for different VIN ranges. They don't show the VIN ranges on the parts website though, but once I called they told me which one was applicable for my VIN number and I placed my order.

Interesting that your using the VIN to do a search didn't provide you with the proper part number.

If you wanted to send back the pulley, I have one that I didn't need for my 09 TSX since I sold it before I put it to any real use. If you wanted I could sell it to ya for $25+shipping. I shutter at the price you are paying from the dealer. I think I bought for $50 or so.

Appreciate the offer, but I need everything pretty soon. I ended up ordering from oemacuraparts.com because their prices were so much better than my dealer. I got the pulley for $37, the tensioner assembly for $170, and the serpentine belt for $65. Altogether it was $290.52 with priority mail shipping.

Hopefully I will have everything on by the end of the week.

I actually had a mechanic do the work. The engine is enormously quieter now, almost like new.
