Glovebox shelf

I took out the glovebox shelf in my 2012 TSX to install a new cabin filter and for the life of me, can't get the thing back in there. Every time I think I have reinstalled it properly, as soon as I go over a bump it comes loose and falls and then starts moving around the glovebox. I obviously don't have it installed correctly because it never fell off for the year I had my car before installing the new filter. Is there some sort of trick I'm missing or common mistakes people usually make? Thanks

Sell it to me, that should take care of your problem.

I had the same issue....apparently I had broken a tab (said the dealer) they swapped it out for me for n/c.

Surprised to hear you guys even use it. Pulling it out was one of the first things I did when I got the car. The 2nd gen glove box really sucks to begin with, and the shelf seemed little more than a space hog (I think it's for owner's manual, which I've always kept in the pocket behind the passenger seat).

This exactly! Minus i use the passenger seat back pocket for manual. easier to reach if i need to refer to it while in drivers seat...

I've resorted to keeping everything in the glovebox in 3 plastic bags so i don't have to catch a million things that spill out every time i open the trap door. Pisses me off!

I can't imagine we're the only ones who have trouble keeping anything in the glove box; most of the stuff falls out and/or makes it impossible to close again without sticking everything back in there. This was a pretty noticeable flaw coming from a 1st gen car which actually has a pretty usable glove box.

Yep, I found that I could only fit 1 glove in the glove box.
